Can never have enough water but you could have run pex from one side back to a tee on the side you use or bend a length of 1/2in copper in a upside down u shape with flat bottoms slotted as pickups
That was certainly an option, I just didn't have the space available for out to run.
Couldn't you access the other side prior to setting the tent up at the end of the day's driving?
Hey mate. The other side could be accessed when the ladder for the tent wasn’t set up. Although I needed access to all the water from one side so I decided to upgrade. As I don’t really use the water unless set up.
Couldn't you have plumbed both ends of the 40 lt tank to a tee piece at one end? Or another way could've been when one side ran low, you lift up the full side and fill the other end?
Hey mate, yes that would have worked although it was not practical with my setup as one side is completely blocked by the RTT ladder, that tank would work perfectly in a vehicle with both side access and I had no problem with the quality of the tank. I just wanted something with single side access.
I like the idea of these solid removable tanks but not sure i like the idea of not being able to secure it done.
In the event of a rollover you will have a 40kg+ object flying around in the car
This is the only downside to it, it would take a lot of force but in the event of a rollover your concern is very valid and I did think about that during the installation.
@@nextleveladventuresau maybe it's possible to Jerry rig some basic brackets that fix to the front seat mounts that you can at least get a good quality strap around it or even better if there is bolt holes you can use from the rear seat and have a metal bracket over the top from the front seat to rear.
