    Right on, great talk. I collect and stack for my financial future and to leave wealth to my family down the road. For SHTF- food, ammo, medicine, etc- can't hurt to have silver but that's way down the list for needed SHTF items needed. You say not to listen to stackers but I agree with what you said here. Even with the current premiums, as time goes on vintage silver will have huge upsides, imo.

    I primarily stack for wealth storage. Secondarily I stack to hedge the dollar. Finally I do like to have a precious metals stack for the SHTF situation. People don't realize just how possible a total breakdown of society is. The biggest thing I fear are the things we can't control. The odd asteroid or coronal mass discharge from the Sun is far more likely than people realize. If you know what a CME can do to this planet it's quite frightening. We were 2 weeks away from being hit by a massive CME a few years back. It blasted the part of space our planet was in 2 weeks earlier. If it would have hit us, half of this planet would have been without electricity for who knows how long, possibly over a year. Well enough doom n gloom. I do absolutely LOVE those chunky bars. I think I may have to put those on the wish list.

    The only reason that we even started stacking was because we paid off all of our debt, we have a paid for home, maxing out our 401Ks, putting serious money into a taxable brokerage account and have almost 1 years expenses in a HYSA. After that we still have some left that we wanted to save and not spend, so instead of putting it in our savings account, we are stacking some silver. Stacking for trade for SHTF just means they will be the 1st ones stuck in the dirt and loose their stack.
    I ended up watching some stacker video from a channel I never heard of. TERRIBLE advice and the next thing I know, Im in a whole new stacking community and NONE of the channels I ever heard of. Every channel was doom and gloom. I literally spent a whole weekend clicking "Do not recommend channel " It was like a two or three day nightmare. It was WEIRD.

    i play both sides. it's a good idea to have bulk bullion. it's also a good idea to save junk silver, which is always getting melted down. the more time passes, the more collectible it becomes. it's also a convenient way to acquire denominational silver for shtf barter purposes. whether you think that will be an issue or not, it's still true that as time goes on, premiums on rare stuff like nice looking old junk silver pieces will only go up. sweet morgans btw. got any peace dollars? i like those more.

I like the art, the history, the story of the different mints in different countries that produce silver bullion, there's a lot to enjoy about it. I love rare rounds and low mintage Perth Mint stuff like Brumbies and Wedge-Tailed Eagles. I also believe it will give me a much better return than cash investments such as term deposits. Preparing has nothing to do with fear, u would know that if u actually looked into it. Preparedness is to perpetuate normalcy for those u love during unforseen hardships... yes u have to brainstorm scenarios that have proven themselves to happen throughout history in order to have ideas on how to prepare but its got nothing to do with fear. Do u carry car insurance out of fear or is it simply to ensure ur not bothered by unforseen events (and the consequences of) that happen everyday so life can go on unbothered?

    You might, or you might not. You're assuming circumstances when you say you'll get more. Maybe you think risks of SHTF, unrest, WROL, etc... are low, and I certainly hope that you're correct. However, if you're wrong, it's very possible that vintage pieces will be worth whatever any other similar amount of Silver will be worth. This is why I stack with as few assumptions as is possible. I want the largest possible universe of buyers, and as far as I'm able, I want to assume nothing. I stack for retirement as well, but only in the context of preserving the largest possible universe of buyers. I also don't think that a truly catastrophic circumstance is anything like the highest probability event facing us by far, but I don't dismiss it either. Risks of these things are on the rise, and they are some of the highest impact events that could take place. Like you, my retirement stack covers a multiplicity of scenarios, but I think a good number of them are absolutely live possibilities. So for example, I can't say that I don't stack for the possibility of SHTF or some catastrophic circumstance. I do stack for that reason, it's just not the most likely scenario that causes me to stack. It's the same reason that I buy freeze-dried food on a regular basis. Food is only going to get more expensive over time Full meals that I purchased for five dollars 17 or 18 years ago cost $11 or $12 today. What will they cost in another 17 or 18 years? If the same rate of increase applies, it's going to be $26 or $27, and I actually don't expect the rate of increase to stay the same. I think it will likely be over the $30 mark, but I could be wrong. I certainly hope that you get more out of your vintage pieces. I know a ton of good people that collect vintage Silver, but I don't do it for the same reason that I don't collect numismatic pieces. Numismatics and vintage pieces do best when times are relatively good and there is a hungry market being participated in by significant numbers of people who have discretionary money to burn. Despite what the weak-kneed folks of our day think, we haven't faced any hard times yet. Yes, there are individual circumstances everywhere that can be pointed to, but we aren't anywhere close to the dust bowl times of the 1930s. If we had the same percentage of folks walking around today that literally couldn't afford to feed themselves, everything would be different. No one can tell you when this nonsense will come to an end, but that it will come to an end is an inevitability. It is logically impossible for it not to do so. You cannot operate within the context of a debt-based monetary system that requires continuous exponential growth just in order to avoid recession in a finite resource environment. At some point, there are natural limits and barriers that matter. You and I would probably just call that "reality". People and markets respond to incentives, and there are so many distortions everywhere due to the fraud that just is the modern financial system, a reckoning will happen. Will it happen in my lifetime or your's...? Who knows? You don't know, and I SURE don't have ANY idea. But we can both know that it has to happen at some point. I stay away from vintage and larger than 1 ounce increments because I just can't tell who will be able to afford to buy larger increments of Silver, and I can't afford to assume that an LCS, a pawn shop, or even an on-line dealer will be a live option for me. They might be, but they might not be. I have no idea of what regulations might grow up around Silver and Gold in the future. I'm not sure I've ever run into anyone who stacks only for one reason. Typically, everyone I run into has several reasons for why they stack. Usually, they are doing it for emergencies like a possible job loss, as a way to have a reliable saving account, because it's a fun hobby, sometimes because they are increasingly paranoid about an SHTF event or a monetary collapse, and sometimes as a supplement or replacement to retirement. I don't think I've ever run into anyone who is just doing it for one reason though. I probably have 10 different reasons, if not more, as to why I think stacking is a good idea. There's a lot of people in Eastern Europe that would disagree with you about Silver not being good for SHTF. I've listened to a number of people talk about their experiences between about 1990 to 2000, and many of them owed their survival to the fact that they had Silver flatware, Gold Jewelry, and yes...even old Silver coins. For many it was the only way that they had to feed themselves or to finance their movement to another region of the country or continent where they could possibly find jobs. Silver & Gold, like anything else, are only useful for what they are useful for. You're not going wipe your backside with a bullet or fill your hungry stomach with lead & smokeless powder, but that's not a good case for not having those things. Things like Silver won't always be useful, but they are another tool in the box that can be made use of when it's the right time. Anyway, great video! I think more people need to talk about these issues and make people think about what they are doing. Too many people are following hype and not really doing any critical thinking on their own. Keep stacking!

    • @TheKANSASKIDD
      @TheKANSASKIDD  13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @veritasfiles Absolutely. Never assume!! There are so many different reasons for stacking. And each accommodates different ideas. Well said here veritas. Although I never said it wasn't good for SHTF scenarios, that's just not my drive to stack metals. That is just another base covered without me thinking about it. Stack diversity it important. Along with larger bars and such, small bars, rounds, and constitutional also make up a large portion of what i have. Cover all bases! But as far as SHTF......metals are very low on my prep list! That's just me though! But I have them if needed! Good talk! Appreciate it!
