  • VHP Sterilization is vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization. It is a low-temperature, gaseous sterilization method similar to EO Sterilization. The primary difference is that hydrogen peroxide is much safer.
On October 7, 2024, @ 10:30 am ET, we are hosting a live-streaming procedure webinar where we will explain how to review, edit, and implement the procedure for VHP sterilization, and we will also provide some basic information about VHP sterilization validation and the process in general. You can purchase the procedure on our website:

We will also update our sterilization validation training on October 10, 2024, @ 10:30 am ET to include more information about the VHP sterilization validation process. This training webinar will only be available to people who have purchased that training and people who have purchased our 510(k) course. Links for both are provided below:

The residues left behind by EO sterilization are Ethylene Chlorohydrin (ECH) and Ethylene Glycol (EG). These residues are toxic and companies need to reduce these residues as low as possible when a device comes into contact with the brain or other parts of the central nervous system. EO sterilization is also a serious environmental hazard that is systemically being eliminated in the USA by the EPA and the FDA.
In contrast, the residues left behind by VHP sterilization are water and oxygen.
The VHP sterilization process is now in the "A-Group" of sterilization methods evaluated by the FDA, there is an international standard for validation of the process, and many hospitals own VHP sterilizers for resterilization of surgical devices.
