    Great video! I will mention that I prefer a bit more narration of what needs to be done and how you will approach it and exactly what materials and rods or wire is used, and why if it not what I would normally expect. Thank you...

      I think I saw a 270t press brake in another vid. That'd do it for sure.

    Good work!
    All hardoxed up!
    In all fairness the customer should have fixed that rock bucket before you tear a hole in though...

    85% new bucket haha - next the necks going to break off and you'll be replacing the top end XD
    Bloody beast pack of welds tho. What you recon you put in 40kilo of wire? haha

  • @possiblymeish
    @possiblymeish 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    We usually run the bottom wear strips all the way across and hang over the sides of the bucket. The way your customer has designed it will cause the corners to wear out before the bottom has and will require cracks to be fixed or the bottom to fail prematurely. Very HQ work on your end.

    Rocks cause the most wear on equipment than anything else. The "dirt" wear plates installed on the back will help. Would have been interesting to know what steel was used in the plating. AR400 for example or otherwise.

      @@allistairc123 I work with a guy that puts full Hardox on their mini buckets, but they do alot of beating with them so I think the added strength helps them. For someone not as abusive, mild would be sufficient.

  • @SomeTechGuy666
    @SomeTechGuy666 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You need a bigger welder and bigger wire for these jobs. It takes so many passes to build up any bead with what you are using now. The bead size and probably penetration are way too small for the material you are working with.
