@@csnodgers9025 - Fosho!!! Based on the Numbers, AD is still better @ Center. He can’t shoot the Long Ball well enough for US to put another Non-Spacing Big on the Court with Him for 25+ Minutes a Game.
Also, He can’t guard opposing PF & LBJ can’t guard opposing SF for 25+ minutes a Game. We still need another Big Man (Sharpe/Reath/etc.) that can occasionally share the Court with Him & LBJ for 10ish min a Game and allow AD to Rest for 15ish min a Game.

From what I understand, the aprons only apply based off your current salary at any moment - meaning they don't technically need to do the salary dump now. They could always dip below the apron later if that helped them pull off a bigger trade.
Wouldn't help that other teams know they would need to do that - they'd ask for more resources to take salary. But they're already in that spot if Lebron takes the max. Hope he takes a little haircut off his salary. I mean, they wouldn't be over the second apron and in such a bad roster crunch in the first place if not for Bronny's contract...

1. I'd trade Jaxson Hayes over Christian Wood, 100%. Hayes wasn't bad, but aside from being an athletic, high energy lob threat, he doesn't have a particular skill or specialty that really makes him "stand out". Christian Wood on the other hand, has at least shown in quite a few instances that he's a versatile combo forward that can stretch the floor, be a capable defensive presence in the paint, and on the perimeter, and can contribute on both ends of the floor in late game scenarios.
2. If the Lakers don't make a "Allstar player" trade before the deadline(which I personally don't think they should do), they can still sign a couple of reasonably affordable free agents with veteran minimum contracts as their projected salaries. KJ Martin and Robert Covington would be really smart additions to add to the SF/PF positions for wing depth and more defense.
3. However, If they miss the deadline, and still look for available free agents, Miles Bridges and Cameron Johnson wouldn't be bad recruits at all, not even in the slightest. Miles is an extremely athletic, 3 level scoring small ball 4 that's very efficient at the rim, and a very efficient lob threat that can play the SF/PF positions, and excels tremendously on the fastbreak. He's also shown to be a capable clutch performer. a 21/7/3 player last season shooting just under 35% from 3PT range, and almost 1.0SPG, and over 46% from the field. I feel like that's a very considerable statline, and a very affordable bargain.
4. Cam Johnson, a versatile 3&D combo forward that can also stretch the floor, very efficient from the corner, around 44% from corner 3's, and just under 40% from 3PT range overall. He's also proven to be a 3-level scoring player, which the Lakers can definitely benefit from. 13/4/2 with just under 45% from the field as well.
5. These 4 players can be signed in case the deadline is missed, and the Lakers should trade D'Lo, Vincent, Hayes and a couple future draft picks, and maybe one of their 1st season players from last season.
I think they need an elite third scorer bc in the playoffs AD & Lebron went crazy. At times it looks like DLO is he just too inconsistent

They need to start the rebuild process. If you can't add players around Lebron and AD this team is not going anywhere. I would trade Lebron and AD for draft picks, rather than waste an entire year with this roster.

Here’s a trade that works for everyone: Lakers give up D-Lo, Vando, Gabe, a protected first, and 3 seconds. Nets give up DFS. Bucks give up Brook. Lakers get Brook and DFS. Nets get D-Lo and 3 seconds. Bucks get Vando, Gabe, and a protected first. Lakers address 2 major needs and also shed $1M in salary. The other teams benefit as well.
For me the perfect trade would be D-Lo - Gabe, Reddish & a 1st to Orlando for Goga, Gary Harris & Cole Anthony
