    You were right about those spring clips brother. What a pain in the ass! Eventually got it. Thanks for the video.

      Yes they were a pain for sure, no way I could have video that. Thanks for watching

    Just installed. Thanks for the video as they Cyclops instructions don't mention using the old clip from the lights. The "CIL-KLRGEN2" version that I received has a little button that allows the bulb to click into place. I oriented them left & right. Also, I needed to trim the gaskets about 1/4" as per the instructions. Your video was super helpful. Thanks again.

    I believe the rubber boot should go between the bulb and the base. ( Which is probably why the center section may require trimming ).
    By placing it over the entire assembly as you did, the heat sink/cooling fins are captured inside the boot. They aren't going to be able to dissipate heat with the boot over them in that way.

    • @Georgia4Low
      @Georgia4Low  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      dittman2564 yeah the boot is to be trimmed so it would slide down around the base of the LED light just below the cooling fins. I spoke with Cyclops and they said the the lights should be fine without trimming the boots. If u trim the boots now dirt and dust will collect in the head light unit. So far at 2200 miles all is good. Thanks for watching

    When I did this I put the bracket locked the clips then I put the rubber boot and finally the bulb. Its so Important that the heat sink is exposed or it will overheat. The heat sink is the black part at the back of the bulb. I used Auxbeam bulbs that look identical to the cyclops also with 8000 lumens but I only paid $19. And they work great.

    • @Georgia4Low

    • @Georgia4Low
      @Georgia4Low  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes very high quality products from them. Wish there was a better solution to the spring clips and there most likely is I just didn't take the time to think it through as the instructions said to bend the spring clips to fit the lights. overall worth the upgrade for sure. thanks for watching.

    • @ShabbernigdoXingjian
      @ShabbernigdoXingjian 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Georgia4Low You can make a direct comparison. Ive seen the output on both and ive seen em both. ( its also why a bunch of klr guys use the beamtecs ) The only difference is that the cyclops comes with the spacer ring. Also on that note the spacer should go behind the h7 adapter ring. If you put it in front it moves the lights focal point back those 8mm and throws it off a bit. : ) In the end as long as they work well and you like em thats what matters.

  • @andrewjones2167
    @andrewjones2167 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    In my opinion, it's a poorly done installation. You covered the heatsink and the boot wasn't sealed properly
    You should make new shrouds to seal the opening properly. Use rubber from an old tube to make new shrouds. The heatsinks must be on the outside, exposed to ambient air.
