What the ass... you don't let go of the charging handle and leave it sitting there with the bolt locked to back! Do NOT STICK your fingers into the bolt chamber!
@Syphonedge, calm down and show some respect, for every one of these Motivated Military Soldiers is serving there are least Ten Earth Sacs draining Uncle Sams bank
@@nickc8819 you really felt the need to reply to a 9 month old rant? Let me educate you. Unlike you, I'm an actual combat vet with 17 years of service. I was looking for study materials for my subordinate soldiers for a competition they were attending and came across this instruction video. As a SAW gunner myself for 4 years, I know what I'm talking about. These cadets are posting a video about the M249's functions and handling and making two critical errors which I pointed out. If they have a problem with my critique, they can contact me directly and I'll square them away myself. I'll show them respect when they show respect for a weapon system I'm intimately familiar with.
@@SyphonedgeYup.. watching this video to jog my memory in preparation for a selection and first thing I noticed. Instant No-Go. This is going to do more harm than good for soldiers who learn this video to a T and don’t know any better
Always put the charging handle in the forward position to avoid injury to hands. If accidental fire it with shoot forward with the mechanism and scre with your hands.
I recall when I was ROTC cadet. Our instructor(s) specifically had us NOT use ummm..... UUMMMs interfere with method of instruction as it degrades appearance of competence. Creates doubt in mind of student, and invites scorn.
Cadets have a solid circle for their rank. Any other different looks ranks with that circle I think is rotc only. “Platoon leader”, “company commander”, etc
⏸️ Pause! @2:27 Who THE FUCK IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS WEAPON System pointing towards U.S.?
90% sure I went to high school with this chick. One of the last people I'd expect to have an interest in guns. Pretty sure she went air force
Pro tip: when removing the rod and spring you can have the feedtray open so you can see if its charged or uncharged... no surprises.
