Something I noticed with Sparkle's little Russian Roulette with herself is that she's differentiated by the fox masks on her head. The one that looks to be the 'real' Sparkle has the white mask on her head while the other Sparkle/Aha(?) has a red mask. Later on in the video, the white mask fades into being a mix between the white and the red mask, which is Sparkle's mask in-game Just food for thought
i really like how she has so many fake versions of herself and progressively kills off the fake versions once they're no longer of use to her. only leaving her not who the real one ever was also her saying (in the other trailer) when im angry, youre still smiling to the mask. like her true thoughts and intentions are always hidden im ngl, that portion of her character, is too real. having to be someone im not constantly and eventually losing my sense of self obviously shes too insane to relate to completely LOL that portion just really clicked with me shes fascinating
She is probably an emanator, like in her previous PV i bet the one she feel like watching her is probably Aha itself. Like she not afraid of IPC, sampo is afraid of her, and she try to mess/dance with black swam who seems like an emanator of fuli.

We may see Aha this story arc. After all Aha is the “the worst Trailblazer” mentioned in the memory fragment video by Pom Pom. Aha pretended to be a normal person, joined the crew for a year, gained everyone’s trust - and then blew up the train. This was back when Akivili was still alive IIRC.
Really interesting is that Aha doesn't seem to be evil aligned either.....just a massive chaos gremlin with unfathomable cosmic power.....which isn't a very good for the universe combination

Hands down the best character trailer, this really does bring out the unhinged set of Sparkle's character in a creepy way, easily best girl! Hoyoverse went hard on this trailer and as people mentioned, it's got that Persona 3 treatment at the start.
I was already pulling for Sparkle after I heard who her English VA was (I'm a Yanfei main in Genshin, and they have the same VA) but all these trailers have hyped me up way more than I could of ever hoped for. They COOKED with her character, and I couldn't be happier. I may even go for her light cone now.

Anyone else notice that she put the bullet in the 6th slot, and that only after the 6th shot did the line come out of the fun to signify the bullet being fired? This attention to detail is insane.
I’ll explain why she is shooting her self while fighting. There is only one bullet left on the chamber, so Sparkle made a wager with another sparkle to see if she will die from the last bullet. She indeed shot herself 4 times, which turns it into a 50/50 that she dies. In the end, I think Sparkle killed herself, being shot through the mask.
You have no idea. How I have BEEN waiting for this. First,Sparkle is the exact..psycho kinda girl i love as an "antagonist ". Second, I love Aha/The Laughter/Joyseeker (Aeon of Elation and Joy) so I LOVE THE MASKED FOOLS! So I love Sparkle❤
Now imagine the devs make it so when you pull her, she appears a Himeko but after a short delay she pops out asking if we were scared just now, just like the end of her trailer.
As a trailer concept, I love the references it has to some of my favorite things, such as the gun (Persona 3), and the multiple sparkles "clones" (Kurumi Tokisaki from Date a Live). Then, they top off with some really good tune (the whistling!) and psychedelic imagery, with a sprinkling of Sparkle's actual HSR animations. So many things to gush about, and I am screaming in agony because I still need to save for Acheron. Sparkle wanters, may you get your own Sparkle effortlessly!
So I have a interesting theory At the "I AM Elation" after that you can see Sparkle transform into other characters and before the transformation we can see different masks and different pattern, after that she will transform. But by transform into Adventurine the Mask(important must remember the pattern of the mask)after that we see a smaller version of Sparkle sit on the palm of a another Sparkle and the smaller Sparkle have the same mask pattern as the from Adventurine the she get shot. And right after that we see the same mask pattern turn into Sparkle mask pattern(in the end of the transformation you she her transform to herself with a mask pattern of her) So what if in the future of the story Adventurine get shot but turn out to be Sparkle. That would be insane n.g.l So feel free to comment on this one because it's quite interesting to look at

I still don't understand why everyone likes Acheron that much, the only thing that seems interesting about her is her technique, her damage seems ok, but not as good as current top tier dmg dealers Am I missing something or is it the case where people just like her design or references to honkai impact/genshin? For me it seems like Sparkle with her turn manipulation and skillpoint generation seems a lot more valuable in the current state of the game.

Pertaining to the thumbnail, Sparkle follows the Aha, the Aeon of Elation. But her kit is Harmony. But in game world, they obviously dont think "oh, my abilities are support, so im harmony".
Also the "Sparkle is Aha/Emanator" is an extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeme reach. Also, no, most people are not skipping Sparkle. Vast majority were pulling for her. It's Aventurine who's getting skipped lol.
They were definitely inspired by Tokisaki Kurumi lol. Tokisaki Kurumi being a very loved character from Date-A-Live, a 7/10 manga/anime that was hyper carried by a really well designed character who companies would make figures of even if it had been years since the last season of the anime, you would and still will find merch of her, she just won't leave lol. They have a similar color scheme of red, and both have disguises where they act... normal(ish). They both act the same, says things in the same elated (hehe) manner yet sound terrifying. Kurumi has time travel powers, she shoots herself to scare the other characters for fun then pops right back in again, she uses a real gun though lol.
Something about this trailer reminds me of the .Hack series. Well in general Penacony is very similar to .Hack where you have people logging into a game that is hiding some dangerous secret which is threatening the players and the game itself. Trying to uncover that secret leads the characters into a different level of reality within the game where they uncover lost/dormant consciousnesses but also place themself in even greater danger and set off an unexpected chain of events while learning more about the origin of the game and how that origin is tied into the secret danger. There are powerful beings in the world representing a specific idea. Aeons in HSR, 8 phases of the Morgana Wave in .Hack Various factions are each trying to carry out their own agenda. From policing to organized crime to business to spreading chaos. People are falling unconscious in real life during the time they play the game from their interaction with creatures from the secret danger. The MC is endowed with a special power that is the only way to defeat the secret danger. Stellaron in HSR, Book of Twilight in .hack Really HSR has a lot of elements in common with the .hack series. But that is simply because of the type of fiction they both are which necessarily share some tropes.

When the face morphing happens during the mushroom time, there is a small moment when going from adventurine to archeron where it looks like Constance from the everflame mansion. I dont know if it is intentional or not, but it is food for thought.
2:09 theory! What if the one talking is actually Aha themself and the person they're freaking out is Sparkle? She was on the verge of a nervous breakdown from her acting career, but Aha was around at the time and decided to play a prank of their own, leaving the real Sparkle completely insane and mentally broken, resulting in her current personality.
Quick theory: Hanabi can get the powers of an emanator when she wears her mask, but she goes insane whenever she does due to forgetting the concept of her existence. Notice how there's 3 mask color stages: full white, half white and red, and pure red. The white represents the consciense of sparkle herself. But when half the mask turns red, her personality splits, giving her emanation powers of elation. However, once the mask goes fully red, she gets powers of elation almost as powerful as Aha's himself, the aeon of elation (maybe she even gets posessed by Aha). But there's a kicker to that immense power: sparkle loses herself into the powers of elation and her consciense gets erased from her own body, becoming another puppet of Aha. Maybe that's why she defines herself as elation and why she says "I am not sparkle", with Aha responding "No, I am sparkle"
Absolutely love this trailer. There’s an anime called Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi. The op video & song by Tatsuya Kitani - When the weak go marching in, gives me very similar vibes to Sparkles trailer. A complete mind trip. Hoyo great work! Definitely will be pulling for my girl Hanabi. 😁👍

I got Silver Wolf, Ruan Mei and her LC, Kafka and he LC, Black Swan and her LC and I still plan on getting Sparkle (without her LC, I'm putting DDD on her) and then Fu Xuen and her LC and _then_ I still want a 5-star Quantum Destruction character to replace Qingque on my Mono-Quantum Team. I'll have built nearly 2 full teams in the span of 4 months. (A DoT Team and a Mono-Q Team. I hope they'll release a better Abundance character for DoT teams eventually because I don't want HuoHuo.) When I'm done, I'll have pulled on 6 consecutive banners 😭 Thank god I'm not interested in anyone else on Penacony (except maybe Firefly, depending on what she is).

I wasnt planning to get her coz I thought its just gonna a troll cutesy character like hu tao but sampo. They changed my mind. Its actually a serious character ironic that she says the why so serious line. She also changed how I see the elation also because of that scene when sampo told her that the elation she wants is not what he wants

Pertaining to the thumbnail, Sparkle follows the Aha, the Aeon of Elation. But her kit is Harmony. But in game world, they obviously dont think "oh, my abilities are support, so im harmony".
Also the "Sparkle is Aha/Emanator" is an extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeme reach.
Also, no, most people are not skipping Sparkle. Vast majority were pulling for her. It's Aventurine who's getting skipped lol.
They were definitely inspired by Tokisaki Kurumi lol.
Tokisaki Kurumi being a very loved character from Date-A-Live, a 7/10 manga/anime that was hyper carried by a really well designed character who companies would make figures of even if it had been years since the last season of the anime, you would and still will find merch of her, she just won't leave lol.
They have a similar color scheme of red, and both have disguises where they act... normal(ish).
They both act the same, says things in the same elated (hehe) manner yet sound terrifying.
Kurumi has time travel powers, she shoots herself to scare the other characters for fun then pops right back in again, she uses a real gun though lol.

Something about this trailer reminds me of the .Hack series.
Well in general Penacony is very similar to .Hack where you have people logging into a game that is hiding some dangerous secret which is threatening the players and the game itself. Trying to uncover that secret leads the characters into a different level of reality within the game where they uncover lost/dormant consciousnesses but also place themself in even greater danger and set off an unexpected chain of events while learning more about the origin of the game and how that origin is tied into the secret danger.
There are powerful beings in the world representing a specific idea. Aeons in HSR, 8 phases of the Morgana Wave in .Hack
Various factions are each trying to carry out their own agenda. From policing to organized crime to business to spreading chaos.
People are falling unconscious in real life during the time they play the game from their interaction with creatures from the secret danger.
The MC is endowed with a special power that is the only way to defeat the secret danger. Stellaron in HSR, Book of Twilight in .hack
Really HSR has a lot of elements in common with the .hack series. But that is simply because of the type of fiction they both are which necessarily share some tropes.
The disrespect that it takes to play Russian Roulette, while ALSO absolutely decimating your enemies, is just on another level.

When the face morphing happens during the mushroom time, there is a small moment when going from adventurine to archeron where it looks like Constance from the everflame mansion. I dont know if it is intentional or not, but it is food for thought.

2:09 theory! What if the one talking is actually Aha themself and the person they're freaking out is Sparkle? She was on the verge of a nervous breakdown from her acting career, but Aha was around at the time and decided to play a prank of their own, leaving the real Sparkle completely insane and mentally broken, resulting in her current personality.
Quick theory: Hanabi can get the powers of an emanator when she wears her mask, but she goes insane whenever she does due to forgetting the concept of her existence. Notice how there's 3 mask color stages: full white, half white and red, and pure red. The white represents the consciense of sparkle herself. But when half the mask turns red, her personality splits, giving her emanation powers of elation. However, once the mask goes fully red, she gets powers of elation almost as powerful as Aha's himself, the aeon of elation (maybe she even gets posessed by Aha). But there's a kicker to that immense power: sparkle loses herself into the powers of elation and her consciense gets erased from her own body, becoming another puppet of Aha. Maybe that's why she defines herself as elation and why she says "I am not sparkle", with Aha responding "No, I am sparkle"

Absolutely love this trailer. There’s an anime called Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi. The op video & song by Tatsuya Kitani - When the weak go marching in, gives me very similar vibes to Sparkles trailer. A complete mind trip. Hoyo great work! Definitely will be pulling for my girl Hanabi. 😁👍

glad i had already planned on getting her because if i hadn't the temptation to pull would be enormous
i would ask mina if she pulled sparkle as well but we all know that even if she didn’t she would just rob her wallet for sparkle also i did pull sparkle but it is also around the time when i get an influx of money so i will probably just buy oneiric shards and stock up that and as much stellar jades as i can for acheron banner i will definitely be dropping 30 dollars or so maybe even more

I got Silver Wolf, Ruan Mei and her LC, Kafka and he LC, Black Swan and her LC and I still plan on getting Sparkle (without her LC, I'm putting DDD on her) and then Fu Xuen and her LC and _then_ I still want a 5-star Quantum Destruction character to replace Qingque on my Mono-Quantum Team. I'll have built nearly 2 full teams in the span of 4 months. (A DoT Team and a Mono-Q Team. I hope they'll release a better Abundance character for DoT teams eventually because I don't want HuoHuo.) When I'm done, I'll have pulled on 6 consecutive banners 😭 Thank god I'm not interested in anyone else on Penacony (except maybe Firefly, depending on what she is).
