The Empress herself was also being used by Glamoth, she was just like the Hivemind for all those Fireflies, and the Glamoth gives command through the Empress.
Titania not caring about the Fireflies is false, since she herself is only a powerless being that acted as the center of the hivemind that communicate and commanded all the Fireflies through telepathy and a shared dream. In fact, it's mentioned that Glamoth may have sabotaged themselves after they started to see Titania and the Fireflies as the second Swarm threat and in fear of that, pulled the strings behind the scene to eradicate them once the Swarm threat subceded. This include exiling the SAMs units, cutting off communications and modifying the SAMs visual interface confusing other SAM units as Swarm insects leading to themselves killing each other, to guarantee a mutual destruction of both sides.

So...glamoth as a planet did not became a forgotten planet due to the swarm disaters. it died as fyrefly's faith in glamoth died and is reborn into the firefly we knew and was found by Kafka witnessing a lone firefly lost from home...
I wouldn't really say it's her losing faith in glamoth, more just her following their doctrine. Like that's what Scorched Earth means. Clearly glamoth had lost, I mean if you look at the planet it's a gray, dead, barren wasteland, it's only landform features being craters, and the SAM who threw their mask at the swarm mother literally said they were commencing scorched earth operations. Firefly just finished it out. If glamoth fell, she's at least not gonna let The Swarm have it.
Glamoth wasn't a single planet btw, its a empire of dozens of planets, this moon sized planet is probably their last line of defense before the Swarm reaches the capital planet of Glamoth, it make sense why they are giving it all and doing Banzai charges.
@@idontspeakjapanese6289Bold of you to assume they weren’t doing banzai charges before. Even when grass still grew, Firefly was the only survivor of her squad, just as the two other survivors.
So the Glamoth Empire was already gone at that point. But the iron cavalry was created with the sole purpose of fighting the swarm, so even without anything left to protect, they still had to follow their instinct and fight the swarm till the bitter end. That's fucked up
I like how this trailer truly shows how much a threat the Swarm really is, we have been told about the devastating power of the Swarm was but here we can actually see why they were considered extremely dangerous. Even after a suicidal attack that took out the Swarm Mother and the swarm on the planet, after Firefly woke up from surviving the attack more Swarm were already advancing to the battlefield. Speaking of Firefly, she holds a whole lot more power than I think anyone expects, seeing as she destroyed an entire planet, which I think was implied to be Glammoth, though it could also be a random planet as well. Though I don't think she can release the planet destroying power constantly, it's probably more akin to a super move. All in all, makes me like Firefly even more.
Its not Glammoth from my understanding as what I understand of the Lore is that Glammoth had a rebellion after this from the Surviving Iron Calvary who had outnumbered the normal citizens at that point. Glammoth Empire is actually a Myth feed to the Soldiers it was more a republic then anything and not that large. Some people are speculating the ESL Fire Fly has is actually a Failsafe to prevent the Iron Calvary from going too far a field if it goes rogue which it did. As for the Planet Destroying Power I expect Fire Fly has some secrets and she might not be a normal path strider. For Sure an Aeon gave her a blessing it makes the most sense based on what we are seeing.
@@revanninjaI mean. The rebellion could have happened prior to this. Rebelling against your leaders doesn't exactly change the fact that the swarm is still the swarm. Its not like the swarm had a reason to be upset with glamoth, they were just hungry and wanted to spread. First Destruction, then Abundance, and now we see how terrifying Propagation is when it's not just an Emanator's clone in a lab. The paths are nightmare fuel when taken to their logical extreme.
I'd say that we've also been given a decent amount of insight into how terrifying Nihility can be, and the IPC feels like Preservation going a bit overboard, then the entire Penacony arc seemed focused on the extreme of Order (though that admittedly seemed like one of the less scary ones (still pretty bad though, probably on the same level as Preservation)). also whilst it's so far been relegated more to the background (though it looks like Sparkle's plan is finally happening in the next update) I'd say that the bits of lore we've seen from Elation are pretty horrifying too. personally, of all the paths we've seen extremes from, Elation is probably the one that scares me the most. we should probably consider Erudition too but the worst that we've seen from that is cloning a Propagation Emanator, which feels more like a Propagation horror than an Erudition one.

@baokhanhtahoang250 yeah I assume this event was near the end of the propagation's reign. Cuz in SU swam disaster they describe entire planets, not just the life on those planets, being devoured
Worse than Stormtroopers, because I think the anti-empire factions even at their height can’t muster forces comparable to merely one attack wave of the Swarms to any single battle.
40K, Helldivers, Clone Wars, hell even some Metal Gear given how shortened the lifespans of the clones are....they really gave her every flavor of scifi angst
This is like Nier automata, all androids fight to serve humanity when humanity is already gone. A motivation that was a cover up for the lie they created
Firefly could be said to have fight with all her might to protect her homeland, but then that girl was one of the only few survivors, especially how she used all her power to destroy the entire planet, which made me feel even more emotional about the story of firefly 😭
I did some research about Firefly before this animation was posted, and I was honestly got the impression that Trailblazer was the one who found Firefly in her Cryopod and recruited her, guess I was wrong. I was kind of hoping that we would see Stellaron Hunter Trailblazer in this animation.
Mina, I'm so glad you mentioned that "Ghibli moment". Up until that point in the "short", both the visual effects and the music reminded me of Grave of the Fireflies (wouldn't be surprised if one of her inspirations were that movie) but couldn't really put in words why. Your comment made me realize that the scorching earth moment had the same kind of desire to live than in the movie. The same level of destruction caused by some type of war, watching your loved ones fight and die... Even the explicit showing of the dead bodies.... I'm also happy you mentioned that she was really catered to a certain demographic by her marketing focusing on her relationship with the trailblazer. I like Firefly but her personality and role in the story felt a little flat for me. Up until now. This animationgrabbed my heart, threw it to the ground and then craddled it back to life and made me understand her much, much more than the Penacony so far.
fun fact she was the last survivor of glamoth empire and she was the one that end swarm monster...and that was hundred years ago and also during this time glamoth was already gone...and when kafka find her that was after hundred years later..so she was basically older then that..the reason she still look the same is becose the suit was in hybernation mode to make sure the owner servive
I mean, she was just blasting enemies in the face, and when she had the scorched earth protocol in her hand, she didn't hesitate to follow through. She's definitely not a baby, lol.
Broo i just want a firefly anime like named something like "Honkai Starrail: The lost story of glamoth" where it tells the story of the swarm disaster which our firefly is the main protagonist, like this would also be a good money millker for Hoyoverse LIKE PLSS HOYO DO IT
@@Bobologne Not exactly. She was investigating emanators and their connection to their respective aeons and a primitive path like propagation was easier to tinker with and modify. Not to add that the swarm still exists in small patches across the universe. Qilpoth bonking their aeon did not cause all of them to disappear.
I still love the idea that she's an opposite March, and now we see that she was found in space by the Stellaron Hunters. Makes me wonder if Firefly will teach March to dual-wield swords.
The Sam design in the animation is so good and the way they did it remined me of sceens in really intence Mecha fights like Evon and similar ones too it. Also the inside inside of the sam suit when the Sam unit ripped his face plate off also removing the voice changer and hearing his real voice is great attention to detail especially seeing the wiring underneath the face plate.
It's amazing how her mechanics is intricated to her lore. Im base form she waste like half her heath on each attack because SAM units aren't supposed to live long, but them she's blessed by the Abundance in second form recovering all that health lost. Really cool
I recommend watching the keeping up with star rail fire fly preview, there's actually a good amount of extra lore shown and explained there for her and what actually fully happens with her SAM at the end
I liked this for showing how devastating the swarm is and showing the lengths Glimoth was willing to go to to survive, then when we learn it was all for not.
So this is the answer from HonkaiSR to the people that said that "they didn't killed anyone on screen, maybe we can get another SAM in the furute", they go beyond the expectations and Killed EVERYONE except Firefly.
It feels like Firefly's machine is similar to Gurren Lagann. The stronger the will of the wielder, the stronger it becomes. In the end, Firefly's change in mindset, originally designed as a weapon, allowed her to break through her initial design and awaken, embarking on the destiny of being human.
finally the confirmation i was waiting for! for thoes that dont know, in the astral Parlor car there is a broadcast that reveal lore. within the broadcast they anounce that we enter into the new Amber Era and a fiew more info that don't have a big impact (exept that there is a planet now gone to the swarm), but the interesting info is that they speak a bit about the stelaron hunter and reveal that each and everyone of them is strong enought to wipe out a planet
Was already pulling due to a love of Fire attibute characters and MECHA. This and the previous animation solidified the decision. Best of luck for everyone rolling for Firefly.

Born to Serve just like Stormtroopers
Worse than Stormtroopers, because I think the anti-empire factions even at their height can’t muster forces comparable to merely one attack wave of the Swarms to any single battle.
Voiced by one man like the clone troopers
FOR SUPER EARTH
This is officially the best HSR short animation yet
When they said "Why do we live?" and "For the Empress!" I was like yup definantly Warhammer 40k vibes going there.
Helldivers moment
Have child supersoldiers, i was having Halo memories.
And Violet Evergarden moments.
@@ironheadedDoF I was thinking Death Korps of Krieg but yeah that works too.
Glammoth Stands
The planet broke before the Iron Cavalry did
40K, Helldivers, Clone Wars, hell even some Metal Gear given how shortened the lifespans of the clones are....they really gave her every flavor of scifi angst
This is like Nier automata, all androids fight to serve humanity when humanity is already gone. A motivation that was a cover up for the lie they created
Firefly could be said to have fight with all her might to protect her homeland, but then that girl was one of the only few survivors, especially how she used all her power to destroy the entire planet, which made me feel even more emotional about the story of firefly 😭
yeah, she's alone. So what the point if planet exist
Soo why did she destroy the planet. Couldve been survivors there
Hoyo does not chill with the depression
Correction: Shaoji does not chill with depression
"chill, carefree, and upbeat story"
"It's a positive and wholesome story"
Shaoji: We feed on your depression
Depression Impact. Always has been.
I guess this is how the river of death that blocked Glamoth's sun was formed
ITS BEEN MINUTES SINCE THE TRAILER CAME OUT MINA JESUS BRO IS SPEEDRUNNING
She went to BiliBili where it was released earlier
Average Helldiver moment

2:18 I want that stratagem
Genocide in 1080p is wild.
Well now we know who made the rope for the firmament frontline glamoth ornament set
She holding us chat hostages
I freaking cried my eyes out at the part where started talking about the dream she had
Mina i love you please dont die
Caelus and Firefly are both WMDs now that I think about it.
Talk about a power couple.
Frfr, both Stelle and Firefly being a walking nuke inside a quirky silly persona is my favourite thing about their pairing lol
I did some research about Firefly before this animation was posted, and I was honestly got the impression that Trailblazer was the one who found Firefly in her Cryopod and recruited her, guess I was wrong. I was kind of hoping that we would see Stellaron Hunter Trailblazer in this animation.
And this is why we players have to decimate The swarm per every simulated reward reset, Moc or any boss events -w-
For all the Fireflies
This animationgrabbed my heart, threw it to the ground and then craddled it back to life and made me understand her much, much more than the Penacony so far.
rondo, the arlecchino animation, and now this. bangers after bangers. they need to fully commit to making an anime please 🙏🏻
I didnt start crying until the very end there when she started reciting her line
FIREFLY SET OUR WALLETS ABLAZE
I can't wait for patch 12.4 where they release feature length animated films to advertise characters.
fun fact she was the last survivor of glamoth empire and she was the one that end swarm monster...and that was hundred years ago and also during this time glamoth was already gone...and when kafka find her that was after hundred years later..so she was basically older then that..the reason she still look the same is becose the suit was in hybernation mode to make sure the owner servive
*Hoyoverse staring at probably 1 billion dollars net profit a year*
....no, I think we'll continue making video games ma'am.
4:40
Molly: she's fine she's fine
5 stages of grief:denial
- How much Break Effect?
- Enough to blow up a small planet.
Firely really went "I will awaken the breath of the planet.. for I walk with Humanity... ENUMA ELISH"
so this is what kafka does on her free time...wine in hand, watching a member's lore with the IMAX built by SW ig
Istg Firefly's companion quest better be us going on a date with her and smothering her with affection and making her smile
Goddamn, the wait for this was wild.
Now imagine if you could have a whole team of Firefly's, you could recreate the entire army in records time
If Hoyo decides to make a SAM model kit (Bandai, Moderoid, anything works), the revenue from Firefly-related sales alone would fund an anime
4:17 I haven't seen a war scene this gruesome since Antz.
I mean, she was just blasting enemies in the face, and when she had the scorched earth protocol in her hand, she didn't hesitate to follow through.
She's definitely not a baby, lol.
Peak Cinema
I think this animation should have convinced anyone who was still on the fence about pulling
_In Glamoth's fields, the fireflies glow_
_Between the bodies, row on row..._
I was just yelling the whole time watching this animated short
Chat, lets take a shot everytime Mina says oh baby
Claps for the voice actor and all of the love
Broo i just want a firefly anime like named something like "Honkai Starrail: The lost story of glamoth" where it tells the story of the swarm disaster which our firefly is the main protagonist, like this would also be a good money millker for Hoyoverse LIKE PLSS HOYO DO IT
If despising the Swarm wasn't evident enough, this just makes it more apparent that the Swarm are a-holes lol.
And Ruan Mei wants to bring those mf back
@@Bobologne Not exactly.
Deaths were much more traumatizing than Elfen Lied
MY GIRLLLL :((( (Shoutout to everyone who was there when she was streaming this on Twitch, including me)
Firefly is such a strong personality. I don't want to hear people saying she is blend. After all that, she can still be this cheerful and cute.
It's amazing how her mechanics is intricated to her lore. Im base form she waste like half her heath on each attack because SAM units aren't supposed to live long, but them she's blessed by the Abundance in second form recovering all that health lost. Really cool
WE SCORCHING EARTH WITH THIS ONE!
Argenti solo'ing what took an entire Iron Calvary Knight battalion to accomplish is crazzzzyyyyyy.
And not dying as well
Maybe that’s why Argenti is in part 2 banners because he also has a connection to the swarm
i mean, he did pick up aventurine out of whatever plane he was in pretty casually
Argenti just built different, I wouldn't be suprised if it turns out he's an emanator of the Beauty
I recommend watching the keeping up with star rail fire fly preview, there's actually a good amount of extra lore shown and explained there for her and what actually fully happens with her SAM at the end
Dude this came out so fast- i just finished watching it-
I liked this for showing how devastating the swarm is and showing the lengths Glimoth was willing to go to to survive, then when we learn it was all for not.
Crazy how fast Mina said no when asked to E6 Firefly lmao!
Firefly: *Depression*
Kafka: I'll adopt you know to marry my son/daughter
Kafka: *sees Firefly unconscious floating through space*
"Hmm... Daughter in law detected."
So this is the answer from HonkaiSR to the people that said that "they didn't killed anyone on screen, maybe we can get another SAM in the furute", they go beyond the expectations and Killed EVERYONE except Firefly.
E2 Firefly for sure. After that, it depends on how lucky one can get.
It feels like Firefly's machine is similar to Gurren Lagann. The stronger the will of the wielder, the stronger it becomes. In the end, Firefly's change in mindset, originally designed as a weapon, allowed her to break through her initial design and awaken, embarking on the destiny of being human.
"Life begets death" Spoken like someone well on the path of Destruction.
finally the confirmation i was waiting for! for thoes that dont know, in the astral Parlor car there is a broadcast that reveal lore. within the broadcast they anounce that we enter into the new Amber Era and a fiew more info that don't have a big impact (exept that there is a planet now gone to the swarm), but the interesting info is that they speak a bit about the stelaron hunter and reveal that each and everyone of them is strong enought to wipe out a planet
LETSGOOOO THE BEST CHARACTER EVER IN HSR OMG SO GOOD INSANEEE
40K fans: “Ah yes, exterminatus. A classic tactic.”
Was already pulling due to a love of Fire attibute characters and MECHA. This and the previous animation solidified the decision. Best of luck for everyone rolling for Firefly.
When you're the soul survivor, and absolutely livid enough to just body an entire planet to wipe out a second wave of giant bugs.
What i got from this is... Glamoth's iron cavalry were basically Helldivers.
Have y’all noticed each backstory get some more and more traumatic and sad
5:19
“chopper crying scene” ahh moment
"Ghibli moment"
MINA NO
Oh Hoyo, kali mahing our hearts and stomping them under your heel😭
YOU’RE TELLING ME THIS PRECIOUS BEAN SINGLE-HANDEDLY DESTROYED AND ENTIRE PLANET BY HERSELF???
