This blows my mind. I never realized how common this was. Always thought everyone was natural....
It’s definitely more widespread than I thought. Seems more prevalent than it was 10 years ago.
I think it depends on the gym too. Most gyms don’t have multiple competitive bodybuilders working out in them. The gym I go to has had 2 “competitive body builders” in 15 years
I'm surprised how they don't fell embarrassed,especially for women, heck, even for man is shameful,but these women taking like it is candy.

Real talk, love the ones who are honest. No one is saying with steroids you are not working your arse off. It's just making sure that you don't lie and set unrealistic expectations for people whilst promoting yourself. Bodybuilding is a tough sport no matter what.

Now remember that almost all Crossfit guys and especially the gals look bigger and stronger than most of the intervied people but the crossfitters ALL LIE about using tons of PEDs.
So glad I never took any gear, I’m in my 50’s and no one believes me when I tell them that. I’m not as big or cut as I was 20yrs ago but with constant workouts and a decent diet the last 35yrs I’m happy with how I look and more importantly how I feel.

I appreciate their honesty. Alot of people are naive and don't realize how prevalent Steroids, SARMS, pro hormones etc., are in their gyms. It's not limited to bodybuilders. I'm 60 and have lifted for over 45 years so I have a little experience. Fact is, however, that proper nutrition, working out hard and living the lifestyle is also important. I'm not knocking or judging anyone using gear, it's a personal choice. I do think that people today stay on cycles year round to maintain their awesome physiques

I've lift for almost 5 years straight during early 20s. Made some fantastic gains. But no matter how much I ate and worked out right I hit a plateau. The harder I worked the less I gained, even got smaller due to injuries 😕. Took up jogging instead, became very slim, and trim but now have knees and back issues. Now I just walk. But it's soooooo boring 😴
Unless you're an octogenarian, walking won't do you a lick of good. Remember, injuries don't come from training, they come from poor form. Now stop making excuses and figure out your mistakes. Running does not ruin you joints, it strengthens them.

This just sounds like you had an insanely shitty workout regimen that didn’t fit any of your actual goals at one point and you didn’t progressive overload because you were tired of the small gains which are the gains that you’re supposed to make

As a guy who has always been natural got total and utter respect to these guys and gals honesty. You make your choices and take your chances as with many things in life. Considered it for sure but ultimately its not for me but, and it's a big but I am and never have been or wanted to be jacked and always favour lean and athletic. Can 100% say though training with guys who openly juice you still have to work you damn butt off, the major difference I notice is particularly after a heavy leg day will genuinely at 45 take 3 days before I am recovered minimum whereas those FKers can sometime hit legs the next damn day 🤣
