Here's the thing about Riders Republic, Dont just buy it for the skateboarding. Even tho it's really fun. If you don't like the other sports in game I feel like you won't be getting your money's worth. The majority of the Map is designed around the other sports
Well, they're done with snow sports now and they have tons of street sports they could add (roller blades and scooters for example) so I'm fairly sure they're working on creating more urban locations for street sports! I'd also like to see dirt bikes or ATVs. That'd be a neat one if they actually created good physics for the driving unlike the snowmobile which feels a little too stiff and empty

The skateboarding in Riders Republic is actually amazing. It feels like a 80:20 mix of Skate 3 to THPS. Sure, it doesn't have goofy stance or manual tricks but I really don't care. I would just like to do darkslides, I think that would be awesome. When it comes to skate spots, I think there's actually quite a lot so far. I believe they're working on more locations on the moment, and map design is actually really hard, so I wouldn't gripe about it. I've already created 7 skateboard montages on my channel, and there's still TONS of spots left to skate for future clips. Good breakdown man, and I'm glad you're enjoying the skateboarding as well!

Put goofy stance in the game! It honestly makes such a big difference the way you approach ledges and what not. I skate goofy in real life so regular just don’t feel right for me. Just frustrating having to hit L1 over and over. Even the earliest pro skater games had Goofy or regular stance don’t get why it’s not in riders 20 years later. On a side note, aside from goofy stance I cannot put this game down!
you can change the controls though! I changed it to be the closest to skate as possible(push with A, slow down with B, Ollie and tricks with right stick) . only thing that doesn't work the same way is doing flips while holding RT.
I’ve been a bit confused by the people saying the controls aren’t what they like. It’s easy enough to for people to change themselves. Maybe not to exactly what they’re used to but still, between re-mapping some buttons and a bit of time to get used to the controls, I think they did a great job adapting the existing control scheme to a new sport while also adding 12 new trick slots and the ability to slow your flip tricks
@@davidfc7136 with the steep preset, I changed the push to A, brake to B, tricks to right analog, air control to right analog, rotation preparation to right analog and air rotation to left analog i'm thinking of maybe changing it though since the air rotation to left analog makes me do random flips specially on other sports since its too sensitive, so i'm still thinking about what should i change it to
I get all the little details that people get annoyed about but you gotta remember this is a “arcade” extreme sports game with multiple variations not one single skateboard sim…. It would be different if skateboarding was the main priority but it’s not
I think the skate in this game is extremely good all i want is give us low pop high pop so easy just make it quick flick or hold it . That and keep the levels coming and this is pretty hard to beat
For me the mass race is the best part of the game, some new maps with that combined with skate would be sick. Especially a offroad board like some rocket power shit is my dream.
I do not want Skate controls because I left them with Skate 3 that we had to play for a decade, I left them to retrain my brain for far more intuitive and flat out closer to feeling like skating than "legacy controls". I want session or XL controls as an option, you know, like a stats menu in XL and transition, better animations and user made maps in Session.. Right?
Skating in the story mode of simulation and fixing the animation to changing the gameplay and adjusting the lack of grabbing the trick, flipping, and balance of control the defense to grinding the rail or manual to the other obstacle course
It's a good stepping stone if you want to get into far more complex skateboarding games like Session and Skater XL. Especially if you started from THPS. The price is quite a lot but its a good value if you consider there are other sports like BMX, skateboarding, etc. The mass races are also good fun.

RR is the first and only game I've ever refunded in the digital age. I thought it would be amazing, but the controls were horrid! I even changed everything from their defaults to be more to my liking, but still thought it was terrible. Sure, I could give it more time to get used to, but do I really want to get used to such bad controls? Also, they don't support goofy, which is what I skate IRL, so that definitely doesn't help with getting used to the controls.
game fun is hell. they could give the avatar a little more swag when just riding the board (boy look white as hell) and not skater white lol. And they need better camera options/broader cam settings
Listen, forget the skating for a sec. Do you want a chill game that animates well, is fun and you can throw on your favorite music to and just vibe with? Riders is that game. Yes, there is racing, and leveling and some "loot" But its chill, just play, listen to some music, an hour or two a day. Chillin I have session, and skater xl, riders skate is for sure different, but cool. Also, if you get riders on pc, some people have issues with black bars on their screen, i was not able to find a fix for it on mine. So i to avoid any hassle i recommend it on console. And if you arent as dumb as me, get it on pc if you know how to fix that stuff.

Luego te darás cuenta que no es necesario quitarlo porque de manera Autónoma cognitiva te darás cuenta que para hacer backflip se requiere un gesto en específico y si te pasas cayendo a backflip es por tu poca costumbre confundiendo los controles simplemente
im guessing youre used to pushing the right stick down and flicking it up to do a higher ollie? that was my problem at first too you can flick the stick down once itll ollie to flip you would push the stick up or down again if you’re using trickster of course
After completing the game with all the other toys all I lack is the skateboard. Asking 50 bucks canadian for it is absurd. There's no way I'm buying it. It doesn't look all that fun compared to just playing around with my bikes, boards, skiies and flying stuff. The animation based instead of physics based feels wrong for skateboards... we're well beyond the days of THPS
i personally i don’t think i’d buy it. considering all the other games coming out soon plus i already have session and skater xl. i’m not a big fan of arcade style skateboarding. big reason why thps never caught my attention. i like watching you play them tho
There was a BMX bike you could find in the wild but you also had to buy the BMX career if you wanted more bikes, I'm assuming the same goes for the skateboard
Something that really annoys me and is insane to me that they didn't include is that you cant set your stance as goofy. Whenever I start pushing its in regular and I have to 180 and then get out of the "switch" stance to get to goofy. I can't believe a skating game doesn't have a goofy option. Also the way the skater stands before pushing looks like he's going to push goofy but then the feet switch up fast, its weird. This in combination with the cringy dialogue makes it seem like they didn't have any actual skaters working on the game. The animations do look good though.
Don’t buy it! I own it and it’s trash! Not enough to do, you have to pay 20 bucks for skateboarding,bmx, or anything cool to be able to be able to do you have time pay extra. Number one problem with Riders Republic skate.
It's paid DLC to even be able to skate in free roam.

If you have Play Station plus Xtra or higher Riders Republic is free, you just have to get the dlc
Riders republic has a steep control’s option in the menu and it’s pretty similar to skate 3

how often are you doing them on accident? ive never done any flip on a skateboard unless i consciously input the buttons to do so
