Those plants are full of tomatoes that home canners would love to have. Yes, please try to makes some deals with folks, a good discount, for “come pick your own maters for canning.” : )
No wonder people kept coming. Y'all had some of the most beautiful produce I've ever seen. Those pumpkins are absolutely gorgeous. Don't ever worry about being able to film everything Logan. Y'all do what you need to do to get the job done.
I'm glad you gave people a u pick option. Hopefully some people already took advantage of that-especially food banks. Those pumpkins look amazing-nice selection of colours and sizes.
@theresaburg5881 we grow most of own but go to upick farms for fruit and such. I feel so badly for some of those places because of what inconsiderate pickers do. Ruining the plants or produce, for example. I hope the pickers are respectful of these great people. They are so respectful of their land and work so hard at keeping it beautiful, they deserve that respect.
Love the fall weather coming and seeing pumpkins. Those tomatoes are awesome, glad they yielded so good for y'all. The ones you call plum look like a type of Roma maybe? Love those for sauce and salsa. Farming on your scale will always have waste but it will go right back in the ground so technically no waste! Missing Sam...tell her howdy! Take are guys
My tomatoes over the hill from you have been over producing. I feel our dry spell with scattered rain over the last month really helped that. Definitely slowing down now but the best year I have ever had.
Lovely captured camera work and gorgeous stunning footage views and as always beautiful sharing adventure documentary countryside content video and millions thanks again Logan ! ..
Layer asphalt for a corn farmer. It was harvest time and he said take all you want cause the machines missed some. We loaded to pickups full and passed it to people in need. He said better you take it then go to waste
@ron4245 farmers are great people! During the covid years, the potatoes farmer's in Idaho were stuck with tons of potatoes due to trucking issues. We are 40 miles from thier border in Montana. Once a week for a couple of months they would drive over and stop in each small town and unloads big piles of them that people could take for free. I'm still impressed with this kindness considering the personal time, investment and gas money. I grow my own and others were telling me to go get some but I had plenty and there were plenty in real need. I have so much respect for farmers and even at 62 wish I could farm!
If you have organ ailments, the shucks from the corn eaten raw are truly effective plus the shucks closer to the ear taste sweet and you can smell the country air in them, also gives super human strength
If nobody will say it I will say it thank you for your time I enjoy these videos I love seeing the harvest coming in. You're doing a really good job these are some really good videos I enjoy these
@skeeet5758 I can watch them all day! My 18 month old great grandson will sit and watch forever as well, much better children programing then the other!
Been watching all summer. Avid veggie gardeners here in Montana and i love your beautiful life! Its not just hard honest work, its part of the backbone of our country. Im wondering if your ground is to rocky for carrots or the planting method not viable? Just not enough revenue? Just curious. Would love to be able to do that in our area for a living! Blessings to all of you!
Our ground is too rocky for carrots, asparagus anything with that type of straight demeanor to it. Thats why we do not grow that kind of stuff. We did try years back but they are not the best for us. Thank you for watching, God bless 😁
Logan, we understand, when you are paying for farm harvest help, you are paying 3x the price to stand there and move your camera around. Totally get it. I think its a good sign that your harvest and sales are going really well. Best wishes!
If anybody, especially a church, food kitchens wanted to make sauce? There you go. Even if you have to bring some to the market. Even if you toss them in the humus pile and tumble with the manure and stems? You'll see a few mystery tomatoes by July.
@christrella3134 I ran our community food pantry for years and the red tape is just ridiculous! The best we could do was make the public aware of farms like this. It took years but we at last got a program in place that met with laws to use the big game meat left from road accidents. The details are to much but with many volunteers and a willing butcher we now bring thousands of pounds a year into the pantry from deer and elk. We live in the mountains of Montana and you don't drive anywhere without seeing one taken out by drivers. Sorry, was trying to tell you that unless it is a commercial kitchen just to start, it isn't legal for the pantries to take it.
i know the old way is by certain baskets but it would be easier to just do them by weight of the average basket size and put them in cheap clear bags and say like tie them up or get some zip locks from a supply store with your discount
Lol…Now I’m going on maps to see just how far from me the farm is! I haven’t done it since hubby “loaned” my tomato press to some jerk who didn’t return it. I let nothing go to waste. Take care…👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 Edit: 6 1/2 hours ….one way….so disappointed! 😢
Heads up move offering the up tomato option ! Its a shame to see things go to waste after you have worked so hard seeding, planting and nuturing your crops
I had a bumper crop. Again Sis has a catsup recipe adapted to crock pot. I made 2 batches. ROMA V F type. 45 tomatoes per plant. I was hiding from my tomatoes they were mocking me. I'm not planting so many next year. Must have 3 years worth of every kind of concoction out there. Lucky me
@@helenkessler6012plant even more next year they will continue to go up in price I planted 50 last year,75 this year hope to do even more next year I give them away to people all around my area they truly appreciate it,anything bad I give to the chickens. @BobBob-kb1fx this is why we all can't farm and it's especially great to have a youtuber willing to take the time to educate the public about it. He is doing us all a service so sometimes simple explanations just don't work.
4:32 The way you share about cultivation techniques is so detailed, easy to understand, and very practical!!

@@kimmy6639 I agree. I was thinking because it is the end of the season it may not be as much of a concern.

Luv tomatoes, I use 'em every day of the year and shocked just how much I do use. Whether canned, strained, crushed, sauce or fresh, I love tomatoes.
😍
@Brutally-Honest I agree! I can't grow enough for us so can't wait for a greenhouse!
That would be a sin to waste the tomatoes. Hope people come to get buckets full.
Hope you can see how they wasting in Kenya due to price loss.. That would be a drop in ocean

How much do people make at a farmers market? They are all tiny markets in atlanta 😢
I love the smell of tomato plants.
Bb gun?
Well we haven't seen Sammy lately. I guess she's busy at the drugstore

@dzintrarowe4272 I'm not sure when mom gets time but I bet she puts up a lot besides tomatoes even!
Dont plant so many next year
What would they do if they didn't yield well? You have to plant more than you may need on this scale, you will always have waste. Part of farming.
