So one bad race and u lose the Derby favorite. I've never understood why they use the "countdown ' format in all these big races in UK and Ireland. I much prefer the points system that way u don't get dogs in finals that hasn't won a qualifying race or in theory could other than the opening round finish 3rd everytime out n make the finals while another could reel off 4 or 5 dominating victories and have an inexperienced dog check up in front of him/her or one jam up in the escape turn(1st bend?) and not make final. Too much luck on trap draws for my taste as well u draw 1 or 2 and odds of winning go up 40%
