A lot of revs considering what you're doing 🤔

      James Prentice I’m
Running it a little higher on the RPM because i was doing some work with it earlier at fairly low RPM for a considerable time and wanted to get the emissions system up to temperature to make sure I burned out any particulates that built up from the low speed operation. Not only that but the hydraulics are much more responsive at a higher rpm.

Is the clutch/transmission smooth when setting off? On our current JD 6230, the clutch seems to have a massive deadzone which makes it feel more like an on/off switch which makes the forward and backward movement jerky. I'm interested if the 5r is better

Chocolatecake2001 the clutch seems to be somewhat inconsistent. There are times when it is extremely smooth and other times when it is very jerky. I have two 6420’s. One was built in 2003 and it has a phenomenally smooth clutch, the other was built in 2006 and its clutch has been rough since day one. I thought after 1,500 hours of use it would’ve smoothed out some but not really. This 5125R is somewhere between the two. My biggest complaint is that the clutch engages fairly far out on the pedal, and starting out on a hill is incredibly rough compared to other machines I have. I’m not sure if things need to “wear in” more or not. I don’t even have 200 hours on it yet.
