Thankfully BMW recently moved their designer, Dukec, up to Rolls Royce. They just brought in Polestar’s designer, Missoni, to replace him as BMW’s designer. Which means by around 2030 we should see no more ugly BMWs.
Surprisingly solid, or perhaps not so surprisingly? As in more expensive models, only the piano black stuff seems to creak loudly. Lower-end luxury models seem more solid because they use less of the stuff. Eliminate piano black and you eliminate 90% of the squeaks ‘n creaks.
The notion that it may have poor fit and finish because it was assembled in Mexico is pretty ironic, considering that the terrible W213 E class sedans you reviewed came straight out of Sindelfingen and the merc coupe/roadster are from Bremen. If a brand doesn't care about quality, you get the same nonsense regardless of where it was assembled.
I fully believe the other creeks were honestly because Mexico no offense but they can't keep they're country in line they are just horrible with production
The M340 was manufactured in both Mexico and Germany depending on your location or depending on your luck. There is no factual data after several years indicating that one manufactured in Mexico is any different than one manufactured in Germany. At least for this car. And the creaks were minimal. Ever sat in a modern day MB? It is a creak fest.
