Loved Shaun, such an interesting guy and great golfer, tickled me how he wasn't happy with amateur snooker players on pro tour but tried to qualify for the open as an amateur

Never really had much time for Shaun but he came over as being really down to earth - brill video
Most snooker players are, my dad used to regularly go to the snooker in Belfast ten odd years ago when it came and the players generally stood and actually had a conversation with you (could be different now I suppose), collected a number of autographs from Ronnie, Doherty, Davies etc, said only one of the players he met he said was a bit of a prick and didn’t really stop, I feel like it was Higgins but I could be completely wrong.
he asked Doherty if he wanted some advice to beat Ronnie in their match and Ken said surly, my dad responded with the only way you can beat Ronnie is to take that cue and knock him out before the match, he said Ken pissed himself laughing and just walked off shaking his head 😂
I’m still flabbergasted by Shaun, to have achieved those 3 feats ! Simply fantastic, and such a humble guy ! Surely he’s in a group of 1 !
Love Shaun he’s great. Genuine nice bloke and an excellent ambassador for snooker. Keep up the great work lads

I remember seeing Shaun Murphy in a post office in High Leigh years ago when the world championships were on, some old bloke clocked who he was but obviously hadn’t seen he’d been knocked out and asked him how he was getting on, Shaun replied ‘I’ve just been knocked out mate!’ I buried my head in the pick an mix laughing, Shaun took it really well though. Great vid again gents.

Great video boys.. on the subject about amateurs I believe like most people they should always get a chance in all sports, its like a youth team footballer getting his opportunity in the first team you need that chance to shine!
Love the lads, love Shaun as a snooker player big fan, great character , if he’s a scratch golfer I’ll eat me clubs, not doubting it but I know some scratch golfers and regardless if they haven’t played in 5 months they still play deadly, but I’m shite what would I know 🤷🏼♂️. Still great content and interview

I was interested to hear what he would say about those comments he made after losing to an amateur, fair play for asking him and I thought his response was genuine and honest. Some decent golf played by all as well by the way!
Another brilliant episode lads. Shaun is a very interesting guy with some great stories. The format is fantastic and has been from Day 1 and ye guys are naturals. Can’t wait to see who ye get on next.
P.s. unfortunately birdies don’t come too often when I play golf but when I do the birdie dance 🕺 comes bursting out 😀
