I had that album! Played it over and over and over....as a young girl in the 60's & 70's
Still listening to The Lennon Sisters in this era.
One of the best songs ever !!!

I really enjoy the Lennon Sisters, and with this song you can't lose.

This song makes me cry, it brings my childhood memories. It's such a beautiful song. Thank you very much for posting.
I feel you 100+% ME TOO!
So joyful !
I love this song, I could listen to it a year. It's no wonder the Lennon Sisters were so popular for so long. 5*****'s. Thank u 4 posting
Fantastic!!!!!!! I love the Lennon sisters!
How gentle is the rain
That falls softly on the meadow?
Birds high up on the trees
Serenade the flowers with their melodies
Oh-oh-oh, see, there beyond the hill
The bright colors of the rainbow
Some magic from above
Made this day for us, just to fall in love
Now, I belong to you
From this day until forever
Just love me tenderly
And I'll give to you every part of me
Oh-oh, don't ever make me cry
Through long, lonely nights without love
Be always true to me
Keep this day in your heart eternally
Someday we shall return
To this place upon the meadow
We'll walk out in the rain
Hear the birds above singing once again
Oh-oh-oh, you'll hold me in your arms
And say once again you love me
And if your love is true
Everything will be just as wonderful
You'll hold me in your arms
And say once again you love me
And if your love is true
Everything will be just as wonderful
how these wonderful young ladies bring me back to our ideal world of the fifties and sixties. thank you so much for sharing ths fantastic music. it will never pass this way again. thank god it was recorded.
Loved this sons. who ever sings i loved it the melody and lyrics so calm
Wow..., this rendition was more dynamic and solid harmonization of the vocals than those of other groups. It was also suited to JS Bach's Minuet in G Major. Thx 4 posting of Lennon Sisters version. Regards from Jakarta Indonesia
Couldn't agree more!
can't get over it!!! my two favorite groups the lennons and the toys singing Bach ! The Lovers Concerto I can listen to them forever. Thank You
Brightened up a wonderful atmosphere caused by four sisters in a nice melody
Just Beautiful! Thanks for sharing a version of this song I've never heard before! Excellent!! 5 Stars!
They got beautiful faces as well as their voices, so angelic and wonderful voices ever...far better than the original, love that rendition...
far better than the original? lmao not even close
Well done, but better than the original? You have to be kidding!
A much richer harmonic arrangement, I'll agree. But better? Not really; it's a matter of personal taste!

Agreed. People saying it isn't, to each their own. There's always going to be a bias towards the original version of a song. The Lennon Sisters really made some songs THEIRS in my opinion. Almost every cover they do is great. They do have one or two rotten covers though, like "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" though that's more the fault of whoever edited (butchered) the lyrics.
I love this song
Beautiful 👏👏👏❤️💞💃
Very nice!!!
The Lennon sisters did a great rendition of this song
They really did. I used to love hearing them sing on The Lawrence Welk show. Their voices blended so beautifully. My favorite will always be the version done by The Toys, but the harmonies of those days were so seductively beautiful, I'll take 'em. Every once in a while you still hear such beautiful singing, so the talent is still there, and I'm sure in a non-commercial way there are people singing like this for their own enjoyment, and those lucky enough to hear them. Pentatonix comes to mind as an example of beautiful modern harmony.
@wally1435 THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting what I presume to be all the songs of this album. We had this but was destroyed by storm ONDOY Now we can listen to our favorite songs from our childhood.
Hey Wally thank you not for sharing this classic,but for taking care of such a timeless classic! Thank you for sharing! lol
What a pretty version - very nice!
You are welcome & thanks for the nice comments.
lovely version
Very nice; thank you.
wonderful version...many thanks for sharing.
Wayne in Texas.
What an amazing version! Kudos to the Lennon Sisters. This rocks bells. Thanks for posting.
Feel good!
A beautiful rendition. For those interested the melody line was first written down by Bach see Bach Minuet in G Major. I think the lyrics were provided by The Toys. But the Lennon Sisters version is the best.
The melody was written by Christian Petzold. Bach covered, borrowed or stole it (you decide).
Nah, both the Toys and Nancy Boyds versions are better.
Awsome!
You are welcome; thanks for commenting, it is appreciated.
what a splendid rendition. they are a class act. thank you for setting this up.
Thanks for your comments and appreciation of these ladies.
These girls improved a great song .All versions I’ve heard are terrific !
Improved?
You have a sense of irony
Loved the Toys' version but this one's good. Thanks for posting.
Nice vocals on this one, remind me of the beautiful voices of ABBA
Wow I love The Lennon Sisters but had no idea that they covered this song wow it's good
So many version of this song. My 3 top favs are Nancy Boyd, Lennon Sisters, and Kelly Chen
The Supremes have a good version too.

So very lovely
Glad you enjoyed it.

Sir... Has anyone ever told you that you resemble Colonel Sanders?
Lennon Sisters Rock!
This is pretty good!
I'd never heard of The Lennon Sisters until now, but they certainly do an excellent job with this lovely song. Thanks for posting.
rabele123 You are welcome
+rabele123 This maybe before your time but the Lennon Sisters were a big part of the Lawrence Welk Show. Lawrence Welk and his show was really big in the 60s and reruns of the show are on PBS. If you don't know who Lawrence Welk was, ask your parents or better yet, your grandparents. They will tell you.
+George Tunstill Thanks, George. I'd have been about 16 when this recording was made, but I'm in the UK. I assume you're in the USA and so was the show you're referring to. I don't think it was ever on British TV.
You're welcome; thanks for commenting.
Lovely 😀
I do have about 4 other cuts from this album up.
Notice the lyric change @ :49 "Just love me tenderly and I'll give to you all the love you need." The Toys sang "...and I'll give to you every part of me."
Leave it to the Lennon Sisters to keep it G Rated!
Thank you for your comments. It is appreciated.
Yes I know it's originally compose by Johann Sebastian Bach in G major but they probably sung in other major keys. I love it. Thanks for the download.
ฟังเพลงนี้จากวิทยุแร่ที่เพื่อนรักให้ ไม่มีวันลืม เกือบ ๕๐ ปีแล้ว
This is the best version of this song I have ever heard!! Gosh, do I wish I could get this on my Ipod! Is there any video of them singing this song?
So schön... :-)
knuffy101 ja, es ist sehr hübsch
Nice.
Wow...nothing like that family harmony! It'd be fun to hear other cuts from this album.
มันโคตรๆ ฟังละมีความสุขมาก
as usual..wow
All thanks to Bach for this beautiful melody ♥️

Best Vesion I´ve ever seen...
Michael
Had to play this on piano in a recital one time, the original Bach version I mean
Hey Wally,love your posts!
@pappy154451956 Glad you enjoyed it; thanks for your comments.
Thanks for commenting.
@soccermomish If a video of them performing this song exists, it hasn't made it to You Tube yet.
At 00:53, they change the "every part of me" to "all the love you need'
The "conservative" way to speak of love!
Not my fave version of this song,, but still awesome. Thanks for posting.
@calihartley2010 Hear, hear....LOL! Thanks for commenting.
@rednova55 Thanks for the nice thoughts!
@sukomsanru You are very welcome.
@Lizzy7209 You are welcome.
Now they did it in G Major just like Bach's Minuet in G.
@ghostbuster73 I just bought a Stereo copy on e-bay
@berniefields You are very welcome.
Wunnerful, Wunnerful!
Any idea why all their Dot albums have not come out on CD?
Strange the lyrics were changed from "Just love me tenderly And I'll give to you every part of me" to "...And I'll give to you all the love in me".
Well, they were considered very ultra conservative at the time - especially when appearing with Lawrence Welk; guess it was expected of them to sound as chaste as possible.
@@wally1435 Thought the same thing after posting, but didn't update. Evidently, LW or a producer gave the thumbs down on that part of the lyrics.
@5thChestnut You're welcome.
@jonsharon You're welcome.
@jucklowe You're welcome.
You are welcome.
@ghostbuster73 You are welcome.
@berniefields You are welcome.
My mom used to sing this to me.
What a nice memory !
@TheSuziclassof64 You're welcome.
@YouSPI You're welcome.
@berniefields This isn't Bach,, we've known this for a couple of decades.
Angelofmusic477, which version do you like better, this one our The Toys'?
Interesting how they changed the lyrics from "every part of me" to "all the love in me". Someone probably thought the original was "too suggestive."
You're welcome.
Sound better if you show it down to 0.75x
Lagu enak kayak gini ada yg tahu
I do so love the LENNON SISTERS. With that being said, I must add that....... The Toys these gals are NOT!!!! This song will always belong (now and forever) to THE TOYS!!!!!!!!!
This is the best version ever!
- would like to have such girl to make her lucky...
So, what was the big hurry? It could have been a hit
Although I prefer The Toy's original, I ADORE the Lennon Sisters! A great spin on Bach's Minuet in G Major.
@gritsnsand Yeah Lawrence Welk thought it was too sexual
