The SMG is based off the newer SIG MPX Submachine Gun which was designed to eventually replace the HK MP5 which is steadily growing older.
After watching this video, I decided to collect the MEZCO G.I.JOE line as my main collection.

Seeing Firefly next to Roadblock really does show how small Roadblock actually is. Kind of a bummer but Firefly is like perfect to my minds eye interpretation for him.
