I have used great stuff to glue this foam together in the past and it worked really well. I highly suggest it.

That's an interesting idea. The fact that it expands doesn't cause it to separate?

@@davemirl nope. Not at all. I put the Great Stuff on one side and then place the other side on and move them around to squish the Great Stuff. I then use cheap wood skewers to hold the foam in place when the Great Stuff cures.

@@TheJoeFletch Great tip! We'll give it a try next time we do a project with this foam. Thanks!

Did I miss how you made the suction cups ? These seem so tough the way you’re hanging on them trying to get them on the pole . Y’all are so patient . I have to make some of these for a black light golf course. I’m nervous! It’s gonna be a lot of work !

I just watched the video and they didn’t say how they made them. From what I can tell, they cut pool noodles and glued them to the structure.

Most of them are just Styrofoam rings Michelle found somewhere, probably Amazon or the local hobby store. I honestly don't even remember what she cut the smaller ones from, probably a pool noodle or something like that.

How many pink sheets did you stack to make the giant tentacle?

I’d love to know how you made or used for suction cups?

Absolutely loved this video! I’m making this scene this Halloween and I was wondering how you guys made the ship?

Sorry, I asked the question before reading comments. I found my answer.

Do you have a video on how you made the ship

Sadly, I don't. It's nothing fancy though. Just 1/8" ply bent around a few braces. Then some added details with Styrofoam.

Question? Would it be stable enough to put rebar in the ground and place the tentacle over it? I was thinking it might be easier Less chance of it splitting and less chance of passing out. Love the video Great job!

Depending on where you live, maybe. We get pretty strong afternoon wind storms here in the Phoenix area and wanted to be sure it could withstand them. It did! The change I would make if doing this again would simply be to do a better job of sizing the hole I drilled in the tentacle. If it had been 1/8" larger in diameter, it would have still have been a snug fit without the wrestling match.

Do you have a link for the foam shaver tool?

I meant a link to the drill attachment. Is that a wire attachment? Thank you 😊

Could you have cut out the Styrofoam center pieces to fit the pipe or maybe lay the pipe inside the Styrofoam before clamping it all together?

That would've been more effort than needed. Just needed to drill the whole a tad larger.
