    I'm from the Philippines. I was able to fly my drone in Bohol and other areas in Luzon, but did not know that it was not allowed in Boracay so it was good to know. In my limited experience, there are areas here where only CAAP certified pilots are allowed. I guess we always have to do our research of fly zones to be safe.

    You are very lucky you brought it to the Philippines, our drone regulations here are not so strict, you're good to go no matter how heavy your drone is as long as it doesn't reach 7kg and above, and read some guidelines otherwise, you need a license, although, the only downside is, just like what you've said, there are no sign boards to know if you are in an airspace or not. It could've been worse if it was in Canada, drone laws on that country are beyond insane.

    Thanks for sharing this one buddy. Actually, there are very few Laws and regulations here in the Philippines like Fly less than 400ft, fly 30 meters AWAY from people, don't fly in public places like schools or marketplaces, no fly on NFZ (No Fly Zones) like Military bases, or Malacanyang (Philippines' version of Whitehouse), and of course You must NOT fly at least 10km from Airports. And your place right there is inside the 10Km radius. (Airport Radar detects drones as real air-plane, that's the reason why).

    • @MamoAir
      @MamoAir  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Thanks for your comment. Yes, that includes the shore too. When you are inside and airspace, drones are forbidden, unless you have a permission. Which kind of makes sense to be honest 😉. If u want to know more about the regulations of flying a drone, have a look at my video about it, you can find the link in the description of this video.

      To fly a drone for commercial purposes, or to fly a drone that weighs 7 kilograms (15 pounds) or more, you must obtain a certificate from the CAAP.
      If you’d like to contact the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) directly before you travel with any questions you might have, here is their contact information: info@ato.gov.ph / + 63 2 879 9229.
      General Rules for Flying a Drone in the Philippines
      Based on our research and interpretation of the laws, here are the most important rules to know for flying a drone in the Philippines.
      It also depends on the ordinance of the city or municipality but most places allows flying a drone that weighs less than 1kg following the general rules below. Fly responsibly with safety of others and yours in mind.
      > Only fly during the day and in good weather.
      > Do not let the drone outside of your visual line of sight.
      It should be visible to you at all times.
      > Do not fly over populated areas, such as schools or marketplaces etc..
      > Do not fly higher than 400 feet above ground level.
      > Do not fly closer than 30 meters (98 feet) from persons not involved with the drone’s operation.
      > Do not fly closer than 10 kilometers (6 miles) from airports. inside airspace.
      > Do not fly near emergencies, such as fires.

    You got scammed just because you're a Foreigner.. We almost fly our Drones here in Philippines almost anywhere without getting fined from someone.. From what I see, maybe because you're a Vlogger and that automatically need some permit to fly your drone on an exclusive resorts that has no fly zone.. Before flying our drone we always ask someone first, Security guards, Owners or People who work or in-charge or who lives in that area first if it's an exclusive area or resort before flying our drone and if someone warned us we totally follow and respect them because if you try to ignore them you'll get fined even without a warning or even it's ok to fly drone in that area.
