Tonight's the night ma man. It's been gorgeous, your comments about that high quality olive oil and it lingering on the palate, absolutely spot on! Thank you for the incredible generosity. This has been a long time coming - well enjoyed, well deserved! Sublime!
I gave you a rough critique previously, which I deleted upon your reply. I appreciate your reviews. I respect your knowledge and effort. My unsolicited opinion is that this review was a perfect format. Folks like myself that respect reviews from reviewers like yourself appreciate knowing what you're reviewing before you review because we may be trying to cultivate our palate as you review. When you review before you reveal it complicates matters. So F me but just saying I think myself and many others prefer to join you on the journey rather than going forward and back in the video. Best wishes sir, I enjoy and respect your reviews and opinion!
Hi Patrick, I’m glad you liked the review - too kind! But I am a little confused. In this video I certainly revealed first. For the whisky awards yes I do if backwards. I am now editing all the individual reviews from the Whisky of the Year video. Anyway please email me markswhiskywhistle@gmail.com if you can. Cheers🥃🥃🥃🥃
I agree about the blue label not being worth the money. It was neck and neck for 1st place with the black label when I did a blind tasting with 6 different JWs. Regardless of how good the ghost bottle is, $600 is outta my league at this point lol. Cheers, Mark 🥃🇨🇦
Hello Mark. I am new to your channel and was impressed by your comprehensive comparison/review of the two Blue Labels. Well Done. I have tried the regular Blue and am not a big fan. Even though it is a blended whisky (but a high end one at that), it pales in comparison to comparably priced malt blends like the Compass Box Flaming Heart. I look forward to future reviews. Stay safe.
Hi Lorenz, welcome! Glad you found me. I feel like if they don’t restore Blue to its former stature they risk doing damage that will cost tens or hundreds of millions to restore. I need to do some compass box again!! Cheers and thanks🥃🥃🥃🥃
These whiskies are not ones that I have ever tried. I do think I would love the Glenury Royal Blue. I have had an IB Glenury Royal from the 1970’s from Gordon MacPhail in a closed distillery tasting in 2016, and it was a beauty. The detail you offer here Mark is remarkable, and seriously the very best on the net. Very very intriguing , and well done indeed. For this blend to sit at the same price as a Balvenie Tun, or 25 yr Laphroaig ........ would you say pull the trigger for a bottle, or hold out and share a bottle?? Thanks for the great review !! 🥃🥃🥃🥃 Cheers Mark.
Graeme my friend I can only imagine getting to try an IB Glenury🙀 Really glad to hear your comments as it fuels my resolve even more!! It’s in the ballpark for the experienced palate. I would enjoy having a bottle on hand. It gives me hope in a way as it tells me there is great stuff...you just have to shell out for it. Perhaps secondary it’s less?? I would start by sharing one first though. The pleasure is mine Doc. Cheers🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃
Oh wow, a hug and a kiss! very impressed. I picked up a sample kit from JW, tried the blue over the holidays, wasn't really impressed. seemed to taint my palate half the night
Hey Brandon! It used to be much more “whole scotland” but seems to be very regional now. It’s well balanced but needs more oomph. Odd it affected your palate! Cheers my friend🥃🥃🥃🥃
@@WhiskyWhistle well, I did have the JW 18 first, then the blue. so I might have been a little overloaded with JW. they both seemed to cling for a couple drams after.... maybe I was a little dramatic ahah
I like it, but for the USA Costco price or the secondary price in Seoul. I agree 40% is a shame here. But that’s all they have to put in so that’s all they will being market leader for expensive blends. Cheers bud🥃🥃🥃🥃
HNY FQ!!🥳 On sale I’d likely buy Blue once every 5 years vs twice a year with Green and Black. The Glenury edition is incredible though. I’d sooner pay the 6 than I would 3 bills for Blue in Canada. Cheers brother🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃
The way you've dissected the standard Blue Label - absolutely brilliant! I loved the video, this was very well done Mark! Keep them coming!!
Cheers TJ buddy I will try!!! 🥃🥃🥃🥃

So glad you could try it TJ! Some things need the right time and place. Cheers my friend🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃

I appreciate you time stamping your vids
Awesome thanks. It’s an extra 5 minutes work but if it helps a little it’s necessary!
Cheers🥃🥃🥃🥃
There is any difference between blue label vs blue label special edition i mean taste difference?
Nice review keep up with the great work
Thanks Nicholas!🥃🥃🥃
My favourite Ghost and rare lovely Dram
Really lovely whisky. Cheers🥃🥃🥃🥃

Hi Mark! Yeah Canada’s pricing doesn’t help much either. Cheers brother🥃🥃🥃🥃
Enjoyed the review thanks. I find myself constantly going back to blue. Taste is very subjective and for me personally blue is a favorite.
Thanks very much! I like it too I had hoped to get this year’s special edition year of the tiger whatever it was but I missed out!

Nice review. Cheers.

Nice. The Ghost and Rare is about $450 USD in my area. Maybe I'll pull the trigger some day.
Xavier, honestly I was skeptical but it is superb.

And that shout out? Music to these ears!! Thank you my friend!! 👉🏼
You deserve it. If you like it even half as much as me you’ll be pleased!!!

I got all 3 ghost and rare as well as the new legendary 8
Well done! What is your favourite?
I have a old bottle of blue that I got from my late father does anyone know how to find out how old it is?
Hi Alex, my condolences. whiskybase.com may come in handy. Look for the bottle code. Cheers🥃🥃🥃
Very helpful! Thanks.
Thank you! Are you a Ghost & Rare fan?
Cheers🥃🥃🥃
Very interesting review. (Fyi Volume was a bit low). Have you tried the Johnnie Walker and sons celebratory blend? That would be a good one to review.
Thanks. Yes it was all poured for an event a day or two or so before the recording. I have the Celebratory and will cover it soon.
Cheers🥃🥃🥃
Blue Label is a very good scotch, however the price is high but the whisky is great
Hi Jose you nailed it. So good, but so expensive. And a tad soft at least for me. Kick it up a notch, right?
Cheers🥃🥃🥃
Agreed and thrilling video 🤘🏻
Cheers Buzz!🥃🥃🥃🥃

JW Blue is the biggest disappointment in my scotch journey so far. $300 for 40% abv should be a crime.

Hello go Jets go
Hi! Hope they have a great season! 🏒🥃🥃🥃🥃
When I can get Green for some $75 why bother wasting my money on this?

Too much kimchi? Had to move back to Canada? Lol
Hahaha!! Actually I love kimchi and eat it almost daily haha cheers🥃🥃🥃

for a talking video.. the volume is way too low... editor please
Sadly cannot adjust volume after publishing - I noticed it’s loud on my phone but quiet in my car. Newer videos are much louder..
Woow woow 😍💋 💝💖❤️
