To me, it was a stupid idea to movie to Elstree studios where Eastenders is, I know when it started it was in Manchester in a church I think, very weird to do it church, then beginning of the 70’s it was in London at the BBC which was the good thing, I liked it in White City at BBC, no wonder I hated the 90’s, but top of the pops came back to the BBC studios 10 years later, I was happy, I have been watching it since I was baby 1984, I miss it now, 😢
Did they get there production team from a morgue?? I genuinely dont know where there creativity comes from because they dont exactly sound like there bursting with passion! The opinion on TOTP at elsetree is that at TV centre the set had to be taken down each week do the set was only ever up for two days maximum, as the studios were busy with other stuff. Being at elsetree meant they could use one of eastenders permanent studios as eastenders moved out of studio C in 1991 (into a purpose built conversion of part of the unused workshop) This meant that TOTP could have a studio with a fully equipped lighting rig and studio floor, but they kept the set in there for years without taking it down, as studio C was the TOTP studio permanently for 10 years!!!
I'm sorry but there is more personality in a morgue then with the producers here....I'm really surprised they work in TV and not home and bargains with the porridge personalities 😭🙄😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
I know what you mean, I was wondering the other day why there isn’t a single photo of Stanley Appel anywhere online, and now I see why - he had a total charisma bypass. Like a sort of poundshop Vince Cable. 🤣
