- Finally I found my bucket lister after 8 years of metal detecting and one false alarm!!
I went on a group dig in Lincolnshire on my own, I had such a lovely relaxing day, not finding much until what I thought was another bit of rubbish, but it turned out to be a squashed up silver thimble. It was a lovely 79 signal on my Garrett AT Max. Metal detecting is the best hobby in the world.

The brass thing, you said might be off a set scales, is slide lock throw of an old Victorian door rim lock, although the one you have is not complete, it would have been on the bottom of the lock, like on the old toilet locks..

Brilliant finds dawn and the history behind them and the Lincolnshire regiment history just reminds me of my granddads and uncle was in the Lancashire regiment respect to the British armed forces

Right now Texas is having a snow and ice storm. It’s been weird weather in Texas the last couple of years. Keep checking and don’t get too excited until it gets very close to the date.

Yes they probably were haha they were very good signals for a tiny bit of nothing

Yes its the hunt in Canton, I really dont know about spectators, you would have to enquire with Garrett on that one.

At 3:00 looks like letters. You probably already know by now ! 3:35 looks interesting weights come up all the time but very few parts of scales if that is what it is. The thimble could be restored and put back together have you checked for local colleges teaching silver smithing? Or jewellers? Maybe do a vid on it

Hi Dawn, just curious on your opinion...How do you rate the Apex next to the AT max or AT pro? Are they comparable or are the AT series better?
well fistly you need to look at the price between the 2 machines, you would be better comparing it to the 400i. The apex has some really good features such as chosing frequencies and its superior on the beach, but I still prefer my max as ive used it for so long, it has a faster separation

Why don't you do live digs ? Not as interesting when you only show what you find.
I generally always show the dig unless the grounds complete clay mud (like this day) or if the wind is howling. You should try making a video sometime in bad conditions :-)
