Hi Joanne , its been a few weeks ago. I hunted again yesterday but am paying for it today . I am a few weeks ahead on videos so there is more on the way . I hope to finish off this season and take a bit of a break over the winter . We will see how it goes. Thanks for watching .
@@idigdaytona4478 It looks like it's from a lead toy soldier, they were toys for kids pre 1940's. It looks like Barclay, a big maker of lead toy soldiers, made some that came with separate hats.
I still find silver Roosevelt dimes in Coinstar machines plus several modern coins. Once I found $4.95 worth of coins in one haul. Some folks are in too big a hurry.
Hi Nick , everything is very deep again . I got a few older coins yesterday but every thing is getting sanded back in . If we get another storm or a good northeast surf we could get back into the good stuff . Good luck and thanks for watching .
That was a great hunt you had there! Congratulations on all the silver coins. I just got back from my detecting trip to England. We hunted 14 fields during nine days for 67.5 hours! It was a fabulous time there. I found some amazing, very old items including four hammered coins. It's going to be an adjustment not digging 900 year old coins back in the states. LOL
Hi Mark , thank you . They do have a lot of old history over there . Its amazing to think about the last person to hold those old coins. Congratulations on some great finds ! Thanks for watching .
Amazing what’s down in the layers. I’m sure car parts turn up time to time but I also wonder if any old cars that have been buried from driving on the beach ever show up. Great silvers and finds that’s so rad that stuff is still out there. Good luck!
Hi Spicey , if only it had washed down a little farther . It was just getting into the good stuff. No cars out there just random parts from time to time . If we get another surf event soon it could get great again . It would not have to move too much sand to get back into it . More on the way. Thanks for watching .
That was a fun hunt!! Loved the silver dimes! I don't know when the last time was that i even held a mercury dime! Um...someone kinda lost there head!....lol
Hi Sandra , it would be nice if we had real silver money again . One can hope . It sure would make metal detecting more exciting. The lead toy was fun to find. Thanks for watching .
Hi RTT . I had a fall a few weeks ago bringing in two of my dogs on leashes . They saw my wife at the end of the driveway and were pulling hard. I slipped on the wet cement and landed on my forearms . I didn't let go of the leashes. It hurt my shoulder . Then with the hurricane , I pulled the starter on my generator and that finish doing a number on my rotator cuff. I have been hunting with it for a few weeks . Its not too bad if I keep my arm down. Picking up a cup of coffee off my desk is painful. It will heal but I may need to take a break over the winter when the beach slows down. Thanks for watching .
Hi Brian. What a great hunt. I’m really wondering how all those coins got there. It would be nice to know more history of that part of the beach. I’m sure there must have been a bar or some other kind of business there that was hit by a hurricane and was destroyed by it . The lead doll head is a nice find. I know that some come from the Victorian age but could be up until the 50s . It looked like it had some red on the lips so I’m guessing it would be from 1900/ 1950s somewhere in that time period but I could be wrong it could be later. I watch mudlarking videos from England and they find lead toys on the Themes all the time. It’s really interesting to see. I can’t wait to see your next video. I’m still hoping you’ll find the gold. Good luck. Take care. 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯💯
Hi Verette , years ago before the Daytona Speedway they would race on the beach . I'm sure that contributed to the coins of that era being lost on the beach . I hope someone recognizes the lead toy head. It would be fun to see what it was from . More on the way . Thanks for watching .
I know how the old arm feels after a few hours of swinging. I try to alternate with my left arm but I just struggle with that for some strange reason. I’m somewhat like the fiddler crab whenever I try to do that, you know, big claw on one side, small one on the other. Lol. Nice hunt Sir.
Hi Geno , I hurt myself a few weeks ago when I slipped and fell on wet cement bringing two of my dogs in . They saw my wife at the end of the driveway and were pulling hard. I didn't let go of the dogs and landed on my forearms . Hurt my shoulder a bit. Then with the hurricane , I pulled the starter cord on my generator and finished off my rotator cuff . I am still hurting and hunting . I hope to take a break at some point . I have done some lefty swinging but it just feels awkward. Thanks for watching .
@ wow. Those rotator cuffs are something else when you injure them. I did the same with my right cuff years ago when me and my sons were body surfing at the beach. A big wave hit and took me to shallow water where it deposited me on my shoulder. It just went numb on my whole arm. I had evidently torn something in there. Didn’t ever go to the Dr. Just figured it would heal itself. It did. About 4 or 5 years before I got full motion back. Hope yours is not as bad and that you recover more quickly. Good news is that the exercises I have looked up for the rotator cuffs are similar to the motions we use swinging the coil. Good luck!
Hi Geno , I have done it before over the years with each arm. It does take a long time to heal . Last time I just continued hunting. I may do a winter schedule in a few weeks when things cool off on the beach . Its not bad if I keep my arm low. Its painful to try and pick up a cup of coffee off my desk at the moment . I don't need it to get any worse . Thanks for watching .
Im in PCB right this second taking a break.. there is NOTHING on these beaches ! If you're using the Manticore, which is what I brought this time.. what mode are you running over there? At 5:20. Thats a pvc pipe or electrical wire holder off of a house or something
Hi Jody , we have been getting sanded for the last week or so . Look for low spots on the beach . I got a buffalo nickel and wheat cents yesterday . When I hunt the beach , I use beach surf & seawater when hunting in the water or very wet sand and switch to beach low conductors everywhere else . When you do a noise cancel , hold the noise cancel button down and hold it until the numbers on the screen settle on the same number and its set. On ground balance I turn the tracking on . Recovery speed I have set at 8 . On Discrimination pattern, I use all metal . On ferrous limits I leave it at the factory preset . Ferrous volume on full. Ferrous pitch set at 1 . On Target tones , I use 5- region all tones. Audio theme is set at normal . Frequency setting I use Multi IQ . Good luck and thanks for watching .
Hi Stephen , I think it was a zinc penny . I put all but the silver coins in the tumbler to clean them up a bit . More on the way . Thanks for watching .
&^$&% high tide. I still think I would have had to sleep in my vehicle and start hitting again as soon as the tide started to roll out again. WHAT A HUNT!!! When are you heading back? Can't wait to see what's next. Awesome video content brother.
@@idigdaytona4478 Ain't it the truth. I have a pack around the corner I call dime park. First few times I went for a hunt, all I could find were dimes(and I didn't hit it hard).
