Elden Ring - How to cheese Mohg and get 600,000 runes early! Patched in 1.12, no longer working!

- Full guide on how to make the jump in Mohgwyn Palace to kill Mohg without actually fighting him. Completing the jump get's you Mohg's Great Rune, 600,000 Runes, and doing it again after killing Mohg will get you 100,000 runes on each additional jump! This was working before the DLC but it seems as of the release of the DLC it no longer works.
as of patch 1.12 torrent jump will kill you, it has been patched
I was expecting to see you cheesing him to death, not exploiting him to dead.

So I got almost 500k runes on the first go lol. No Scarab tally equipped or anything. Nice find! It helps to take all your clothes off on that big jump and just hug the cliff as you fall

I fought like 50x today 😂😂😂 he's the only boss I've struggled with this much
@@ajbankai1955 the only thing that makes him difficult is his bloodboon ritual if you can the purifying tear it’ll negate that move and mohgs shackle will help during the first half of the fight
You can get the purifying tear in Altus plateau after defeating eleonora
And mohg shackle is available in subterranean shunning grounds within leyndell capital it’s protected by (2) giant crayfish

Respeccing so you can use Comet of Azur is easier and faster.
This still works 😂. I cheesed him just to see. The fall and hop arr easy but he third jump time it well because if you die you must restart.
I haven’t cheesed any boss in the game but 600k runes is too hard to pass up lol (1st playthrough)

I'm pretty sure all failing rune farms are now fixed and you die.
I dont really know why but it looks like i get the runes but I dont get the boss drops
Hey had the same problem. Make sure you go through the mist and quit and then go back to menu and continue every time even if you have made him show up before

This is a version of an old one.
There used to be a much easier one, it was found like a month after the game came out. Then Fromsoft added invisible walls, people still managed to get there, that one was still worth doing, then another patch, new patch new path, rinse repeat. I think after the fourth patch and new path I stopped caring as farming the bird with the scarab while listening to a podcast isn't that bad. I can't believe people are still finding ways to do this exploit.
@@fluxalpha Also I’m not trying to take any credit for discovering this. One of my subscribers showed me this trick. There are people with much more creative minds than me who find this kind of stuff lol.
If you keep swinging after you get the 100,000 you keep getting more and more I’m at 400,000 rn and it’s starting to die down
Worked on Xbox S yesterday. Explained perfectly. Used gold fowlfoot before double jump and had the golden scarab equipped. Thanks for saving me the headache of having to fight Mohg again for the Nth time. He has too much HP and is annoying.
Or you could just you know fight him the way you were intended too
Except some people want to use his weapon for an entire play through. Not everyone is as skilled as you and able to kill mohg at level 25 after defeating Godrick lol

Thanks! For some, I had to start boss fight again, even though I had wall and then save and quit to main menu, then load in and start from vid tutorial. If I didnt I just got the first inital runes without mogh death.
I got about 250k runes but did not killed Mohg, any idea?

This whole time i didn't know you had to save and quit 🤦♂️ instead i leveled up a bit more and just faced him and killed em. Gotta say fuck it, it was more satisfying than cheesing it lol

This was not on new game plus and I didn’t have a golden scarab or golden fowled foot equipped either. What I got in the video is what you should get as well. Mohg gives 420,000 runes on death plus the extra runes you get from enemies in range falling to their death.

does the weapon type matter? or does it have to be that sort of sword?
It can be any sword, axe, dagger, or whatever else as long as you can swing it from your horse. Just want to make sure you don’t have a staff or seal in your main hand

You need to do the Varré's quest. He's that white mask guy who u can speak with after reaching Limgrave in the beginning of the game.

@ooRENOO Idk if you can kill him before going to Mohgwyn. If he isn't on Limgrave anymore, probably he's already at the church on the Liurnia Lake, near that dragon where you get the academy key. Try to search in that area, or watch some videos to help you find him.

@@Joescio make sure you have a sword equipped in your right hand. If you have a staff or something like that it won’t work. Has to be a melee weapon you are actually able to swing.
@@Joescio oh no! Go back to where you jumped, your runes should be on the ledge. Also one of my most recent videos shows several different rune farms/glitches if you want to get 500k a different way lol

Can't do the 3rd jump..took everything off, still short..I have Sony PS, what buttons am I to push while jumping?
its more of a parquor run along the wall then jump. Get right back on ledge get a run up then when you feel you will make the jump. Jump. Took me a few tries but that is some damn good cheese.

Its a sorta slide along the wall. try directional stick into the wall as you try run along it then jump when close to where you want to land. its only a short slide against the cliff just enough to make that jump. ATB
I did a really bad job explaining that jump. I say don’t run and then right as I move I say run and jump. I meant to say walk forward and jump. I’ve seen other people basically walk along the wall almost all the way to that last spot you jump to and then jump at the last second. I might refilm this and try to do a better job explaining it
Mohg is easier to kill than this cheese.

Hate to be a stinker but they’ve must of patched it because whenever you get near the hole, you’re automatically dismounted off of Torrent and if you jump in, you’re allowed to swing your sword perhaps two times before dying so you don’t even go all the way down. So it’s a done deal but don’t worry, I just beat him and you can too. He’s not so bad once you figure out his move set and calculate things properly. Happy hunting.
That would've been impossible because there had been no patches between when this video came out and your post. Now that 1.12 has come out though, I do wonder if this has been patched or not.
I just attempted it and did it by the book, was able to attack while falling with torrent. Still died ! @@dranyth
@@hyenagore2982 Yeah, they definitely fixed the exploit in 1.12, I've seen it mentioned on other videos too.

Yeah that’s a bummer, I’ll have to see if I can find another method. I’ll also have to edit the title in the meantime to show it’s patched. I still haven’t been able to test it myself as I’ve been focused on the DLC but enough people have posted now saying it doesn’t work. I will figure out how to edit the video name tonight to show it’s patched. Sorry for the false hope!
