The paint on your Mafex figure chipped due to you articulating the joints. Most or all of what you show us on Brood Wolverine isn't paint chipping, it's clear the paint never fully filled those crevices in the first place, so not enough paint was applied or was sloppily applied at the factory. Paint chipping bothers me far more than tiny imperfections like the incomplete paint coverage you have there, but if it really bother you, find a matching paint and just fill in the missing paint.
Just my luck on these figures, you are correct with Brood Wolverine..prior to the paint disappearing it was in a warm water bath to prevent paint chipping. My intent was to avoid the same issue with mafex Wolverine. As you said paint was sloppy, it got removed by the heat. Thanks for checking the video 🙏
