    Hey! I’m a 12th grader from India who’s an aspiring dentist. I will be doing BDS here in India, would be great if you could do a step by step video on how to proceed to do DDS in the US after BDS here :)

      Hi Harzx, we've been aching to meet people like you who want to start early on their goals. Do you want to ping us on whatsapp and we'll create a video in a Q&A fashion to plan going from BDS to DDS.
      Our number is on caapidsimplified.com

      Hi Chhavi, if you are still in school you can directly apply to a pre-dental program in the US and then to AASDAS. Give me a call and I'd be happy to chat about the options. Glad to meet someone so proactive! BDS is not a pre-requisite.

    A few questions . If I do my bds from Pakistan and then give medical test in USA for dentistry can I practice there ?

      Hi, unfortunately you can't practice as a dentist in the US directly after passing a qualification exam. You will need to pursue some clinical course (like a 1-yr AEGD or 2-yr IDP program) before you can practice.
      You can however work as a dental assistant after qualifying the relevant exam and securing a work permit.

      Hey! Is your question whether a dentist with 15 years of experience can practice in the US? The answer is yes. We have seen doctors with more experience getting in. :) good luck!

    I heard that (for direct residency) if u practice in a state for 5 years then we'll be able to practice in all the States. Is that true?

    • @CaapidSimplified
      @CaapidSimplified  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tatamic, that’s partially true. Yes, after 3 to 5 years of working in the US, a few states provide you reciprocity and open up licensure paths.
      But, it then boils down to individual state requirements (accreditation) that you should meet before appearing for that licensure exam.

      How to apply for direct residency after passing only the inbde? (No dds) I have bds. And do we have to pay something/a fee to join residency? Residency is same thing as being an intern? Or do they pay us a sum- like intern(less than the normal doctors)?

    Hi . Could you please discuss about difference between getting a DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited or CODA non accredited institution? How important is the accreditation?

    • @CaapidSimplified
      @CaapidSimplified  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tanvi, generally, DDS comes under an accredited program, which means you will be open to practice in any state of the US. On the other side, most of the residency programs are non-accredited, so a few states will offer you a license to practice. Hence, CODA accreditation is an essential consideration in the US.

    Dentist with 7 years experience
    What are the ways in US?

    • @CaapidSimplified
      @CaapidSimplified  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi @Hello-by7kg , Glad you've already gathered 7 years of experience. That is pretty considerable! The pathways remain the same as the ones outlined in this video, just that you have better chances of impressing a US admissions committee

      Hey doc! What Dr. Nourah says in the video is precisely your answer. DDS/DMD through CAAPID or AEGD/GPR/Specialty Residencies through PASS.
