Haha you were one of a few friends I was thinking of when I got this from Toran. Glad to share a watch with you and thanks for the kind words as always!
Damn, I didn't know they had blued screws in the 9F on this watch. I used to have the SBGV238 and it didn't have the blued screws! My goodness the movement looks great with those.
OMG, that is absolutely beautiful. I do have a question, though. I've never had a Grand Seiko (although I'm thinking it might be a retirement gift for myself in a couple of years), but I was wondering how much it bothers you when you get scratches on that amazing polishing. I think it would break my heart. You have amazing taste in watches. Keep up the great work.
I, personally, have learned to live with the scratches. The first few are a bummer for sure but they become easier to make peace with soon after. That said, the longest I've owned a watch was for over 2 years and have never had to deal with a ding or anything like that...
I wore my Longines for about 4 years then I decided to send it to Longines for a service and a polish. The watch had a lot of scratches and wear marks. When it arrived it looked brand new again. Definitely was worth it to send it in.
Hi Engineer :-) both Seikos are superb, but can you tell the reference of the King Seiko? I want to find it, but didn’t get the reference right? 0:43 best, Stephan
“First Impression”? more like last impression, review of death, this seemed rushed, as if he had to do this review real quick on his way to the AD, it’s probably safe until the new 34 mm 9F comes out
I really hope this doesn't come across in a bad way and I know we have the same wrist size but the wrist presence of that watch on my wrist would really nag at me. Its one of those things that after you get into this hobby you just _know somehow._ And I'm not saying it doesn't look good on you, it absolutely does, its just ever so slightly larger than I could comfortably live with and I would start to dislike the watch because of it. Bummer, I really wanted this one.
He can't seem to wear anything above 38mm without it looking completely tacky. But I will say, there do exist even bigger watches, which because of the way the dimensions of the case work, *can* still be worn by men with small wrists.
I totally understand where you're coming from. Which is why I made the comment that it was still kinda big. I wish GS didn't ruin (for me) the 36.5mm 44GS with those hands. But there is hope for the future! 😃
I've never seen a more beautiful dial than this.
Have it. Love it. Will never sell it. My first GS and I'm hungry for more soon enough. Great job as always!!

The Sea of Deech!! Farewell to this beauty 🙏 Great job on the video, as always!
Haha oh Chaz, I only just got it. No farewells yet!
That is a beauty! I like it more because it's a 9F. Size looks good on you too...lucky man.
Dang Sanjay, that is a stunning Grand seiko love the dial color and texture of it
It really is a beautiful watch! 😍
Wear the Sea of Clouds in good health Sanjay :)
Will do, my friend! It has remained within the family 😁
This is so righteous. Display caseback ftw
Great vid Sanjay, love the quartz display caseback on this one
Beautiful piece. Enjoy bud!
Thanks so much, Omar!

Thanks so much Rob, we'll be watch bros again soon.....I can feel it in the air 😛
Happy to be watch brothers with you! Wear it in good health
An absolute honour to be watch bros with you, my friend! 😁
Great looking LE GS quartz model. However i like that King Seiko on your wrist better.🤭 Looking forward to full review soon. Take care buddy!
The king Seiko wears like a dream haha. Thank you my friend. Talk to you again soon!

Wow Richard, enjoy that retirement buddy! Definitely treat yourself to something nice like this GS.
You send it back to Japan for full zaratsu repolishing. I've done it before, it costs major $$$ but it gets your watch back all shiny and new.

Wonderful dial 🤩
I would star at it all day long at work 😁😁
Nice looking watch, live long and prosper Sanjay 🖖!
Haha will do capt'n 😁

Hi Stephan, the King seiko is ref: SPB285
Hope you have a wonderful day!
@@engineer_wannabe wonderful, thank you! Happy seasons greetings
very beautiful japanese with a great character (movement) 🙂
They are fantastic! Thanks for watching
Great Video!
I have it. Great watch, but the bracelet is mediocre. Try it with a glossy brown croco strap. Looks amazing.
sweet watch, brother!
Thanks you sir! 😃
@@engineer_wannabe you're welcome!

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha it's not a review so there is still life left in it yet 😛
Does your watch change date at midnight or couple minutes after? My change the date at 1205, wonder if this is normal🤔🤔🤔. TIA!
I just checked and mine flips over at 12:01am....12:05 is kinda bad but it wouldn't bother me, personally.
@@engineer_wannabe thank you! Does your other 9F change date right after midnight?
Warren, my old 9F watch would change at 12:05 as well.
Thank you , keep up the good work!
Like. tp - man,👍

In my opinion 44GS does look bigger on the wrist. So I chose the 36.5mm version for my 16.5cm wrist and it always fits well.
Not crazy about the star but it’s a nice watch
