- Complete Scenic drive around Lake Tahoe in California and Nevada. We begin heading northbound on California Route 89 (Emerald Bay Road) near Emerald Bay in California, and make our way around the entire lake, stopping and enjoying amazing views of Lake Tahoe along the way.
This drive was made in mid-June.

After my husband and myself got married in 1984 our best man, Frank, invited us to come out to Lake Tahoe. I've never seen anything like it! Absolutely incredible!! ❤ This June 2nd will be 40yrs. wedding anniversery. We talked about going back. We were able to live there twice!! I'm so glad we took the opportunity to go to Tahoe, would "LOVE" to go once more. We lived at Stateline, at the very top of Kingsbury Grade and lived in a 3 and à half level condominium! Each of the levels had a deck, and quite the spectacular view, and the sunsets are off the charts!! The absolute best was on the 4th of July watching the fireworks at the top of Kingsbury Grade looking down at the fireworks. Phenomenal, WOW!! Everyone should experience Lake Tahoe at least once in their lives. It is truly something to behold. Natural beauty at it's finest!! ❤

I’ve done this drive on one of my many trips to Lake Tahoe. The quality of this video is very good, and as beautiful as it looks, it’s even more beautiful in person. This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Beauty God gave us to enjoy. There are also hiking paths around the lake. The best hike I’ve ever done. The water is gorgeous and it’s so clear in many areas you can see the bottom. Of all my travels in the whole world, this is one of my favorites.

Our trip around the lake actually took a bit longer than 2 hours in total due to traffic in some areas resulting from road construction. In general it takes roughly 2 hours to drive around the entire lake, plus any time spent at the scenic overlooks.
