[Edited to add] There was nothing that anyone did that needed forgiveness from me. In truth, there's so much that I need to ask forgiveness for. It's been a difficult journey and I was sorely mistaken to admire any candidate so much that, at one point, (to my shame.. driven by my fears and unjustified anger for a wrongly perceived injustice) I was willing to consider withholding my vote from another candidate who, with time, I came to realize truly *is* the right candidate for this moment in time. My words and my journey are out there. I can't undo what I've done by deleting my comments that testify to my struggles, though I wish that I could. At best, I can share the revelations of my own mistakes with the hope that someone might happen upon them, read them and learn something from them.
I'm grateful for the many who helped me to see there was a problem and it was with me. I wasn't ready to move on and, in fear, I convinced myself there was only one man who could get us all to a safe place... the day *after* the election. I was afraid that 2024 was going to be like 2016. I wanted my candidate back so he could help a dynamically qualified candidate across the finish line because I didn't trust that men would show up to vote for a woman... no matter how smart and qualified and capable she truly is. And, while memes are fun, I didn't trust young voters to actually show up to vote either because I rarely see them at the polls. I'm convinced that our democracy is at stake and I see Project 2025 as an all out assault on women. That possibility is so disheartening that, between my anger for *perceived injustices* and my fears, I was the one without faith. I was the one who needed to change. I was the one who, through my words online, might cause so much damage that someone else might lose faith in the system and hope for the future... and they might not vote in 2024. With all my heart and great humility, I apologize. If you're reading this... please, vote responsibly.
