Thats cool. I see this happen at a spot I fish during the summer when there are a lot of peanuts around. At certain stages of the tide as long as there is bait its almost guaranteed to happen. Pretty fun when it happens. Keep up the good work.

I tried fly fishing it, but when they’re breaching like that, they’re swimming upward through a cloud of bait as fast as possible, with their mouths open trying to get as many sandeels in there as possible. It seemed impossible to convince a fluke to single out a target (my flies) when they’re feeding on dozens at at time. A hell of a sight nonetheless!

I noticed this behavior in Narragansett bay this past few weeks I called them top water fluke , landed 3 keepers I still can't believe this aggressiveness.
vsonic86 we were catching bullhead and catfish this weekend all night on topwater floats with worms. They were biting like crappie, just nibble. Nibble, nibble then bam! Sucking it in like normal.
