Marta...I just found your videos while looking for some art journal tutorials here on TH-cam. I love watching you do your pages and you have given me so much inspiration! And as a beginner, you have given me exactly what I need to get started. I find myself getting easily discouraged when I am faced with blank pages and not knowing what to do with them. When I first found art journaling I went out and bought a bunch of supplies not really knowing how to use them, just seeing them being used by the artists that I watch on YT. So when I finally sat down to create, I was SO overwhelmed with everything and totally lost my confidence. So, I left everything in my little craft area for over a year and then after buying a house, I just packed it all up and stacked the boxes in a little corner in my new home. I have since unpacked everything and although we have been here just about a year, I am just now trying to start to create again. I feel like I just freeze up when I go down there. I am not someone who can pull creative ideas out of my head. I have to see an example of something I like and then go from there. The blank page paralyzes me. But, the good news is that since watching your videos ( I have been binge-watching your channel since late last nite!! lol) you have given me so many ideas on how to start and I want to thank you so much for that! Please continue to make instructional videos for beginners! You are so encouraging and your tutorials are very informative and helpful. I am looking forward to learning more. Just wanted you to know how appreciated you are and to thank you for sharing your talent with those of us who are struggling. You have definitely found a new follower in me! Take care!! Tina

I'm pretty new to art journaling and I felt intimidated before because I had this idea in my head that I had to have a plan before I could start and that whatever I did, it had to be "good." After watching your videos and listening to you, I understand now that I can do whatever, however, and it doesn't have to live up to some kind of fine art standard. It just has to make ME happy. I actually didn't like mixed media at all. But today I watched your 2 entire videos and I'm crazy and excited about trying this technique!!!!! omg! I look at your incredible artworks and think that I can do the same! It's so inspirational, I really want to open my mind and express myself with this kind of art. Hi Marta. I have been watching a lot of your videos and found your work to be very bright and colourful and your final pieces are beautiful. I am one of those people that have been collecting and buying things, but after watching other people, would feel that I have done my work, but I had never started. Well...finally today, while watching this video, I completed 17 background pages, now I just need to take the next step on adding colour.... hopefully that won't be too far down the track. I am a beginner and I loved this video. It is not too basic. It was perfect. Sometimes people do videos for beginners but they don't give as much detail as we need for a beginner so thank you for being so detailed.

Hello Marta, I am a complete beginner when it comes to art journaling. I found you and your channel while researching Mixed Media Altered Objects and your have some fabulous tutorials for those projects. However, I enjoy your teaching style, your personality, your inspiration, your encouragement and so many other aspects of your style that I just binge watch your videos.
I saw the video when you opened the box from TH-cam with your 100,00 viewer award and it brought tears to my eyes. when I listen to you and learn from you it feels so comfortable, like I'm creating with a dear friend. right now I'm going through your series of how to break a blank page. I've seen some of them but I decided to go and watch them in order. And I do enjoy creating right along with you. You are a treasure.
Thank you Marta. I have watched two of your beginning videos. I have not yet begun my art journal but I know I will. My next step is to gather up my tools that I already have at home. I miss being creative and you have inspired me. Something is missing in my life and I think it is creativity of my own. I am from Oklahoma and I live in a rural setting. You definitely are an inspiration to me Marta. I just love watching your videos especially the ones when you use Lindy Sprays and textures. Part 1 and 2 have really helped me remove the blocks I have when starting a blank page and doing mixed media projects in general.
I am a hoarder of art supplies, paper, embellishments, paints, stickers, everything and I never know what to do with them. you have shown me where to begin and that id valuable. your videos are never to long. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks for the vid I'm a newbie in art journaling and mix media. I always find myself staring into a blank page and not sure where to start or scared to making a page I don't like, but after watching your vid it has inspired me to just go with it and throw anything down on the page and just see where it goes from there. Thanks for this, I now can't wait to make a new page tomorrow.
Hi Maremi, I love your video and the best thing you have taught me is don't be afraid just start experiment and the art will come to you. I like that you don't use a lot of glue and instead use the gesso. A very clever frugal tip! What type/weight of paper do you typically use?It sounds like there's a woodpecker in the background! :) I absolutely loved the textured squares where the black pen ran! You are brilliant! I always start with patterned paper then work from there to create layouts.
