I think people also forget that food standards, laws and restrictions are different all over the world. The UK has some strict laws regarding food quality and what cannot be added/used compared to the US where we have a ton of nasties mixed into jar, pouch and processed foods. The food quality in the UK is a lot better than here in the US. You are very lucky to have cleaner packaged foods than we have. Plus, you give her a lot of organic things not junk food like pizza, fries, frozen PBJ sandwiches, frozen chicken nuggets and things like this that a lot of Americans give their under 12 month old kids. You're doing great and don't need to justify your choices to anyone.
MoonGlitter Life We used to have a lot of artificial stuff in our foods many moons ago. I was born in the 80's & according to my mother I'd spit all jar baby food out. I think the final straw for my mum was when I had a reaction to a pudding jar food - came up in hives.
I was her 4th baby, big age gap between the rest of my brothers (17yrs between eldest & I, 8yrs between youngest) - so disposable nappy's / jarred baby food were all such a 'new thing' to my mum.
Didn't last long & my reaction frightened her. She went back to reusable nappy's & made her own food. She was a bit horrified years later when the government declared how much stuff was in the baby foods. It's completely changed now! You just don't get any of the added salt, sugars, flavourings etc now. And nappy's have come such a long way too!
We had a discussion not so long back about how if I was ever fortunate enough to have a little one (I have health problems, so the likelihood is slim), it would certainly be a very large worry off of my mind with the wonderful variety we have now. You don't need to make your own these days, it's just not necessary.
I know from having friends in the US they've always made their own or baby led weaned. Although they have something similar to Ella's kitchen now over there don't they? No nasties.
We're certainly very fortunate!
MoonGlitter Life we have the same in Norway, there is no nasty things in the babyfood and most of it is organic and super healthy and tasty ❤🌸

Being a mother is the most criticised and policed job in the world and you add vlogging on top of that is just opening up to criticism. Just do things your own way, you are a great mum and know what you're doing.

Rhiannon, I wish you didn't have to explain yourself all the time. You're a wonderful parent and you have every right to bring up Delilah in whatever way you see fit.

honestly as a mom, I tried my best to provide the best for my son. but there are so so many times where things just don't work out so I have to try my best to work with what we got..for example I used to make all his baby food but now since his teeth are coming in he's become picky and I've resorted to buying refrigerated puree pouches. in short, no one except mothers will really understand anything that's going on unless they've had these types of experiences. I'd rather have my kid enjoy eating all the pouches than waste tons of money on organic food that he won't always want to eat. mom's always want to give the best but we also need to do whatever works better for our own families. I think you're doing an excellent job rhiannon! no need to always explain yourself!

I watch vlogs the same: acknowledging that everyone is entitled to their own choices and just because I do something different doesnt mean they're wrong. Im not a mum (yet 😂) but you are one of my favourite mummy vloggers and I think youre doing an amazing job! Delilah is so lucky to have such wonderful, loving parents like you and Doug ❤❤

Yay!!! I love when you have a new vlog up.I feel weird watching someone else’s life but I feel like we are exactly the same (mother wise, tiredness wise, shopping addict wise!!). Except I am way older than you, definitely do not have your wonderful sense of style and unfortunately have not achieved as much as you. You are a lovely mommy and I also believe that every parent has the choice to feed their children what they want! I fed both my girls a variety of foods. From organic to cereals and other things. No one has the right to judge and tell you what is "right" or "wrong" you know what is best for your child and from what I can see you are an incredible mommy!!! 💕🤗🌸❤️

Well I'm not an expert or even a Mom myself, but I think it's probably good for a child to be exposed to staying over night with family and having lots of new and exciting experiences and connections! Plus it's good for Mom to have some time to herself!
Crispy Crunchy Ellie ASMR every mother and child is different my daughter is 9 months and had only left my once for 3 hours when I moved house, I think shes to young to stay over night with someone else but everyone is different and it also depends if you have people in your life that you really trust with your child

Delilah's personality is completely different now! She seems so much happier than when she was little and crying all the time. I love seeing her face when you go in to get her out of the crib. So adorable xx
