Rick could have prevented most of the issues if he let Night Summer use a Mr. Meseeks box to help with the dishes.

I think that’s the point. They’re showing how his bad personality is making his life so hard. He’s still smart but at least he’s not like a God anymore, like in previous seasons. I think it’s soo much better now.
Why didn't they make night rick do it , wasn't the whole point of the night family to do things that they didn't want to do?

Jerry could have even rinsed them himself, which would have taken maybe a minute to do?
The foreshadowing that Rick would be subservient to Summer is hinted at in the opening when he agrees to let the family have their night people to appease Summer.

During the final fight where night summer crashes the car, there's a part when rick was fighting morty he was slaming his head into the ground, waking him up and making him pass out over and over again.
nah, what was better was Night Jerry Bonking Summer and Beth's both Awake heads into each other, yet Night Jerry was supposed to be on their side xD

If only they invented some sort of device that holds dirty dishes and washes them with hot water. Maybe also some sort of powder dish powder for washing. Maybe some sort of water soluble pod that holds dish soap. Yeah if only that existed.

Rick's cock alarm clock feels like an intentional response to that idea. Yes, he could build the world's greastest robot dishwasher, but to him there is no difference between having an machine do the job and having a sentient being do the job. Unless the sentient being starts complaining, at which point he'll refuse to let anything else in the universe do the task until he's shown who is boss.
Not everyone has one. They cost a lot, and sometimes they break. I lived half my life washing my own dishes.

How could you not talk about that great joke when Summer steals the cop car and he shouts “Stop or I’ll shoot everybody” that genuinely made me laugh out loud.
That was a joke? I'm just used to cops doing that I guess. Great episode.

Can I also say that Beth tells Jerry he’s not using the night person correctly just like Jerry told Beth and Summer they weren’t using their Meeseeks correctly
In the end when Rick denies their final TRUCE offer i thought ohh its another NON -canon universe episode where it all goes to shit and we come to know we have been watching different family altogether , but the ending was hilarious and smart , they made it cannon .
I loved how cinematic this episode was! When Night summer scraped the plate I was shook!!
The "robot" at 6:15 is actually the sleep inception device Rick uses to take over dreams in Season 1.

Also, i think our name for "a night person" is funnier tho it's an untranslatable joke. "Night" is in polish "noc" and from that word you can create another one, describing a person associated with night - "nocnik" which can also be translated to "a potty". I just think it's kinda clever

That actually isn't a prototype of Rick's portal gun,its the gun that Morty used when he wanted to shoot Rick in Totall Rickcall
I honestly think Severence started the writers off in the direction and then they worked backwards from there bringing in references everywhere else.
I am loving this season way more so far then the previous 2 seasons. The episodes feel less self loathing and cinical and more twilight zone scifi self discovery and adventure with meaning.
Did anyone notice that Morty is exceptionally acquiescent in this episode after loosing his dissenting aspect of his personality in last weeks episode?
Such a Freaky episode. Loved every bit of it. Jerry's character growth has been great over the years.

It was Jerry’s fault the night people became aware Rick was refusing to help with the dishes. Had never done his stupid pen pal thing, communication would’ve never happened and each would continue living separate lives.

Beth wanting to learn the trumpet may be a reference to Rick forgetting how to play one all the way back in the season 3 premiere, when he left that bit of knowledge behind when swapping bodies.

Interesting thought, if Morty hadn’t lost that one small part of himself in Marta, maybe he would have called Rick out for not learning that when he refuses to compromise even a tiny bit things inevitably blow up in his face usually because of his families habit of “following him implicitly” as Morty would put it, but not being as ruthless, smart or “Rick” when doing this. Jerry messes up the Meeseeks box, mr. Fr undoes and I’m sure Summer starts a rebellion with the night Family here because Morty is back to his season one habit of just following him like a dog

Summer's stay awake suite is referred to as Terry Gilliam-esque...this is a call back to 12 Monkeys... like the suite Bruce Willis wears to walk around in the virus infected top side world.

Part of me thought you'd highlight the F&F play on family that was used to convince Summer to jump from the perfectly functioning car.

Daymonodes maybe a play on demons, but in Hermetics (where the saying 'as above so below' is used often) the word 'daemon' refers to the higher conscious self and the word 'eidolon' is used for the lower subconscious.

The "Conroy" blueprint is actually a call back to Season 1 Episode 2 where Rick and Morty incept his teachers dreams.

The line about "It's a reasonable request" might be a call to Talladega Nights when Ricky Bobby gets his arm broke.
Additional, I think those pictures on the wall were call backs to "Fun, self contained adventures just like in season 1". The fact that they are strung together makes believe at this is the connection.
I bet Rick has the car tricked out for interdemensional/space travel in case of emergency.
One of my favorite references in this episode is Summer's line about Sleep Deprivation Suit:
"Uh, aren't they going to be suspicious seeing Night Summer covered in all this Terry Gilliam?"
First time in a while someone made reference to him in mainstream media, really brought smile on my face...

I thought the robots holding the family hostage sounded a lot like Daleks from "Doctor Who", which would make sense as the show's made repeated DW references/homages through the years.

As someone with a ton of of parasomnia issues, this was a fun episode. I do a lot of weird stuff in my sleep. I have a night person I call "Sleepy Mewse" (but instead of Mewse, I use my first name). He gets up to some shenaniganery. He walks, he talks, eats and... other things.
an airport is a reference to last episode where their mom was at an airport in the word role play game where they were in a forest
The Jeremiah 11:11 verse is surprisingly one of my faves and this episode is tbh my favourite as well since they parodied Jordan Peele like...I am mind blown to see an aftermath like of the Thetered taking over America. It would end up similarly to what the Smiths did
The Sonambulator kind of looks like the spinning wheel from Rumplestiltskin.

4:57 and this is an interesting thing. Im kinda with Rick on this one, he bought the device for the "night people" to do as they are told, and they are making an (albeit reasonable) request. That's not what the device is supposed to do. It also sometimes makes me wonder if it was Jerry that caused it in some way? like by treating his own "night person" as another person with their own will aside from what the machine tells them to do, did that cause the device to malfunction entirely?
Jerry crossed the beams together. Night wasn't supposed to know about day, or it all falls apart. Kinda like the toxic episode. Two sides of the same coin
