although I am sure not an issue with these, but some of these 'Bespoke' Panels, can significantly impact the cost of Servicing (particularly 'Crash Bar's' as an example), because of the extra work needed to remove & Replace get to the 'Service' components...
I was so p*ssed off with getting my left thigh covered in road filth on wet and muddy roads, I bit the bullet and bought the expensive Wunderlich side panels for my R1250GS. They were a total waste of money. They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to solve this issue. Fortunately I managed to return them and get a full refund. I have come to the conclusion that modern motorcycles are designed to be used only on dry summer days.
There must be something in the water in Cornwall what with Toby's box fetish and Mark's sheepskin seat fetish. Good advice on keeping the costs down gents.
I got some of these from ebay last year. Cheap and easy to fit. How on earth can anyone justify 200 euros for such a cheap and easy thing to produce. The spray guard on the bottom of of your number plate looks useful. Where did you get that?
Guys...please please.be warned. I had hugger on my 2019 GSA. I even lock threaded the bolt in but it still came out & completely knackered my engine. Luckily, my dealer was awesome & put it through as engine warranty due to engine corrosion so I got a brand new engine. This has also happened to many other bikes with the huggers fitted. Be warned.
I took my bike into a BMW dealer recently to have some work done; the dealership would not do the work unless the rear hugger was removed. Apparently BMW have informed dealers that these can be dangerous as they don’t use BMW approved bolts. I agreed to the removal and the work was done; however, the hugger wasn’t re-installed by the dealer due to the reason above.
One of the first things a bought for my GS in 2019 was a Mud sling.

Why didn't BMW fit those as standard after testing in their pre production trials??

The number plate cover is from Cymark through Nippy Normans. Ride safe
@@markholroyd5365 Thanks :)
I bought mine for £14.59 (including postage) on the 4th March 2023 (Ebay, motorcycle-parts-warehouse). No instructions but who cares.
Do these panels make any difference, I’m not sure if you said whether you have tested them yet?
They seem to make a difference as my legs aren’t so mucky. Ride safe
Mark, do you need a step-ladder to help put your washing on that close line ? (off topic, I know)
My wife was not happy we filmed there… ha! Ride safe
