Thank you Rick, it's a joy to experience sophisticated and deep teaching and esp. with the virtual presence of a great teacher; the vibe is so nuanced and wonderfully patient, yet demanding and clearly alluding to a very high personal standard and aspiration an artist can wok to reach for themselves.

This is absolutely insane! I was proud of myself today for being able to put together a six stroke roll followed by a seven then I saw this. 👏👏👏

    Can also add this one:
    Play rhythms/ notes between
hands(alternating hands), filling in remaining 16ths with opposite hand.
Also, add 32nd (alternating strokes) notes to the remaining 16ths as mentioned above alternating strokes between rhythm
This gives both hands a good workout, excellent for control because you are leading the single strokes with both hands 🤩🥁

I got this idea from a book called roll control by Andy White

I guess i'm not advanced enough in my knowledge to just jump straight into this, Is it 16th notes with a 8th accent pattern. (i maybe see at first a 16th note single strike roll with an accent of 8th notes in a paradiddle pattern) 120 may be slow for you but as a first example i would have like to see 60/80bm to have a chance of picking it up.

You can slow any video down if you go to the settings in TH-cam.

Can you do these sticking with a much lighter stick.

Of course. Just make sure your hands stay relaxed. A very light stick will not bounce as much making you work a bit harder.
