So interesting to see these behind the scenes and how players stay behind for the winner - so good to see the competitors like Nelly and Shin. Also Brooke! Aww

I failed big time to hold back my own tears of joy for our dear Lydia as I watched this brilliant and priceless footage. More of the same please!! I'm a 71 yr old British golf course Greenkeeper and a golfer ta boot - an ex pat living in NZ since 1983 so I resonate deeply with the enormity of Lydia's recent achievements. It's been a long tough battle for her both mentally and physically during the last decade. It is clear by the emotion she expresses in this reel that the pressure is always enormous for her despite her seemingly calm temperament as she battles away out there on the course. Many would have given up but she has proved herself to be a real tough cookie alright. Congratulations Lydia - Yippy Ki Yay 👏😃 🎉 I wouldn't blame her or hold it against her if she chose to retire after this event. I'm sure she has other important things in her personal life she'd love to be getting on with. Life constantly on the road living out of a suitcase inflicts a hefty toll. Lexi Thompson clearly agrees...
@@webMonkey_ Oh yes she most certainly does. NZ is very proud of their high achievers and never fails to reward and acknowledge them accordingly. The NZ' Sport's fraternity is extremely focussed on inspiring the next generation of Champions.
@@webMonkey_she is our Sportsperson of the Year winner in the past, might win it this year, but some other big results at the Olympics as well by other athletes. As golfers most of us follow her career, and many non golfers, as she has been a role model here just as a wonderful human being.
Lydia is such an ideal ambassador for ladies golf⛳ And how pleased must AIG be... with the #1 & #2 ranked players in the world, along with the most recent LPGA Hall of Famer, all contending down the stretch!
Really enjoyed this footage of behind the scenes. It's nice to get a different perspective from the normal TV footage. Also I liked there was no crap background music or an annoying voice to kill the vibe. Having this angle, it felt like I was there too. Thanks for the great vid! Keep them coming.
There is so much sisterhood on the tour…it’s just genuinely lovely to watch. These women are such wonderful competitors but also are truly happy for each other’s success. Just wonderful to see ❤❤❤
Congratulations, #Lydia! So happy for you. I have been watching #LydiaKo since her professional debut. She is one heck of a human being. Alway calm and down to earth despite all of her professional success. What a girl! Wish her and her families all the best!
Olympic Champion to AIG Womens Open win...all in 1 month in 2024...wow...amazing... only 27 years old...her family and husband there to witness her win tops it🎉
just watched some WNBA highlights before this, the class difference in the way the competitors and other investors in the respective sports treat each other is astonishing
YOU ARE SO RIGHT ✅️ 👏 EVERTIME I MAKE A COMMENTS!!! THE WNBA need to Learn and take Notes on Surporting Each Teammates like the LPGA!!! They Block the comment!!! WNBA wonder Why??? The salary is So low!!!!
SO DID I !! .. And you couldn’t be more right on! Golf, in general, is a competitive but supportive at individual level. If you have daughters … this is the behaviour you want them to emulate. Really great to see after all that WNBA childishness and egos!
Lydia Ko grew up before us, from her big eyeglasses, winning as an amateur in the field of LPGA professionals. We have witnessed her ups, downs, and ups again, showing her demeanor of humility and simple but very elegant aura. I hope to see more of her successes in life. She is an inspiration.
I went to St Andrews from Thursday to Monday, then had a couple of days in Edinburgh before getting the train home to Cheshire. I absolutely love Women's golf and went to the AIG at Muirfield in 2022. also. This event was so special and despite the weather, I loved every second. I was soooo happy to see Lydia Ko lift that trophy. She is so lovely and such a special talent (tell your mum I said so! haha). Even though I'm a guy almost ready to collect my state pension, I still get so over-awed when I watch these girls close at hand. I only wish I'd managed to get a photo with Lydia! Congratulations Lydia! You so deserved it...pure class! oh, and btw, loved the video too1 :) I had tears of joy rolling down my cheeks at the end.
Lydia was top amateur when Stacey won here, she went through a lot in her childhood physically to then reach the top, they really do respect each other, both very classy ladies. .but you probably know that already 🙂
I am so happy for Lydia, but I think most of her fans see her as an outstanding person whom we will always support even if she never wins another tournament. Hopefully her message of respect and affection for others is recognized and embraced. For that is Lydia’s true contribution.
What an exciting year for the LGPA , Nelly hot start and future HOF'er and Lydia's HOF quest and Olympic gold finish and now her win and the home of golf. ❤
Nice little video which brings a much more personal look into this great win. You are such a credit to your family and to NZ.A Damehood must be coming in the New Years honours or I,WILL eat my putter.
I have watched more womens sports in the last year or two than in my entire life. I think I am burned out on mens sports, the ego, the money, the biz drama....I have to thank LIV and the gazillion dollars in the men's game for introducing me to womens golf. Glad it happened.
great footage and view behind the scenes. What a wonderful golfer and person. And the ladies golf tour looks way more friendly and decent than the mens.

Couldn’t agree with you more! The men have a lot to learn.
Mostly watch just the LPGA these days. Heading down to MA this weekend from Maine to catch a round at the new FM Global Championship at Norton CC!
