Honestly I would love a prequel or sequel here are my ideas: Prequel: we get to see how wybies grandmas sister went missing and what his grandma thought of it maybe we could see why she let coraline in but not any other child maybe they could make the theory wybies grandma was behind it canon or we could see what drove the bedlam to this point of insanity not really a sob story where it justifies her actions but just her journey to where she is during coraline Sequel: coraline is older now and has kids of her own as soon as she was old enough she moved out because she was haunted by the trauma of the other world (also yes I’m a wybiexcoraline shipper) she and wybie are married and also her mom is pressuring her to brig the kids more often but coraline doesn’t want to revisit that place but her mother convinces her and wybie to go and so coraline is paranoid about her kids which only lead them to the little door she has dedicated her life to being a caring mother unlike her mom but her kids think she is overprotective they all love wybie and feel comfortable with him so he will be trying to balance out the situation since wybie is the only one who knows about what coraline went through anyways one of their kids go missing. Coraline is frantic and wants to go to the little door but wybie won’t let her go alone so they both go to find their child and wybie has to witness the other mother and coraline is stuck reliving this they and their kids eventually ban together and defeat the belldam but not before the kids discover the truth from the cat (and yes the cat probably survived this only like 25 year gap so coraline and wybie are in there thirties so I’m pretty sure the cat would still be alive) so they finally understand why there mother is the way she is (there are no more eyes to collect so what game do they do to defeat her? help?) anyways at the end the family is together again and stronger than ever also coralines parents are still super oblivious and don’t believe the kids

I disagree with the way "humiliation" is defined here. Coraline is not being humiliated. She is being shoved off by her parents because they are busy. This is how it goes with parents who work from home, generally. It's unfortunate they don't have structured home activities organized for Coraline, especially since Coraline is clearly a very bright child who needs a lot of mental stimulation. She's looking to get that stimulation, as well as an emotional connection, from her parents, who unfortunately can't divide their attention from their bread-winning tasks at this time. Additionally, it doesn't help the situation when the home isn't yet all made up. Maybe her stuff is in those boxes, and there's just no time to unpack and organize until later? They just moved, and we're recently involved in an auto accident, and it looks like they might be strapped for cash until they get their work turned is - as is the case for most writers and editors, who are payed after the completion of work.
Agree. Coraline is an attention seeker and incredibly self centered. She's 11 years old but acts like a 5 yo. She says she's bored but doesn't even want to unpack and decorate her room. Like, girl, at 11 you're old enough to understand what having to earn money is.

I'm glad I found your channel. I love Coraline and I think that at the beginning of the movie it is for actual parents. But once the Bell damn takes them they die and the building and the other father come back as the parents. Her real mother hated dirt and then at the end of the movie they're playing in dirt.
