As of the moment, I've only watched this show because of the FL. Both MLs have problems but I guess this is what makes the story interesting. Hoping for more episodes.

These stories always end up with 1) FL dies tragically in the crossfire or 2) becomes the empress. Even looking at the very last scene in the intro you already know what’s going to happen. It’s you-know-who in an empress robe.
I don't know why but from starting of this drama i liked emperor more than main lead and now i liked him with his concubine but now as it is said that haishi is going to be with emperor it is painful but at the same time i am excited to see haishi having feelings for a person she hates and dislikes🥴as it is mentioned in novel that she would like both at the same time

I read another post where it was announced that according to the novel, the main lead and the king died. Our FL ended up as the King's woman and had a child and the child later became king.

20 episodes were interesting but according to the end it makes me loose interest of watching,though even if you start watching this drama the first episode you can feel it has a unexpected ending. I don't know why cdrama of now days it always have a sad ending,not unless it pays alot.

I think Yang Mi's acting has improved. Even though I didn't like her in the first 2 episodes - her character changed and became mature. She is way more 'man' than the 2 weirdo male leads. Fang JianMing is ironic - he loves yet he pushes her away; when she is with another, he is jealous and won't let her get close to other men. The emperor -- OMG! He is a total insane! The only guys I like are Hai Shi's brother and the loyal guard of Fang Jian Ming.

唉，最痛苦的是帝旭，但帝旭有了缇兰后，最痛苦的就是方诸了，看着深爱着的人在自己面前因爱而不得而心碎是痛，有苦难言是苦，还一身伤命不久矣，太傻，他不知对每个人来说拥有真爱是最幸福的事，以为不让海市爱自己是为她以后好，事实上海市的心除了他这个人以外，没有人能替代，就算从未拥有，他死以后她也不会好过。

Damn it. I should have known better than to watch and read the comments on these trailers. Arghhhhh
I really get frustrated on the way they edit trailers and/or clips. Leading the viewers to think one thing but it is another totally different one when the full episode is seen. And its not just on this series or YT channel or the network Tencent.
Trailer for ep 25 at almost the beginning showed Haishi handing him a vase of flowers and how he took the flowers out of it and threw them away.
Viewer's first thought is that the flowers/vase were from Haishi. But they were not. They were from that different woman in the boat who had asked Haishi to take them to Jianming. He didn't want them so he got rid of them. He also had waited until Haishi left the room before he did it which this trailer clip didn't show either. Haishi is jealous of the other woman but not hurt that he would throw those flowers away. She'd be happy about it!!!
But the editing suggested that he threw the flowers away Haishi had given him herself instead therefore hurting her feelings.
When they do this kind of editing I call it "false thought editing". It is unfair for viewers to do that to them.
Keep this same thing in mind when they show clips that she will end up with the Emperor "romantically".
There is deceptive trailer/clip editing of what really happens there as well.
