The steel plant was a visionary idea by Nigerian leaders until someone saw an opportunity to loot. This plant will never work. The technology is outdated and there is no natural access to iron ore. Politicians will keep this plant alive just to keep looting. Very sad..

I read Geology in a Nigerian university and visited the NIOMCO in one of our field trips. The sad and clumsy story that defines a project like Ajaokuta steel company not peoducing even a sheet of steel perpetually leaves me in depression and hopelessness. If it takes a Dangote to get us an oil refinery, then i believe it will take a Damgote or someone like him to get us steel refinery as well. This documentary is indeed underrated.
