I’ve been wondering if you grew roses and if any of them were David Austin’s. OMG DA delivery days are my favorite days. I get as excited as you are in this video. I have over 30 David Austins but most of them are bare roots. I sent my sister the potted Olivia Rose Austin when her daughter married her new husband Austin. Thought it was quite fitting. I hope it was that full when it was delivered. I also have a few Queen of Swedens. My newest DA is Wollerton Old Hall and my next is Buttercup. Roses grow year-round here for me in Las Vegas. Sorry for incessant comments all day, I’m cooking and binge watching your videos
Hi, great video. I too have purchased lady of shalott and Olivia rose Austin roses from David austin, I am currently waiting for them to be delivered. I was wondering how the roses have settled in, what is their growth like? I too am very excited. Thanks
I don't know how into video editing you are, but it would be very helpful if you were to add a picture of each varietal as you talk about them so we can see what your mind's eye already sees. Hope that makes sense. I've looked up a few of the varieties you mentioned and I can see why you are excited
I am new to this channel and love it. I was going to suggest the same. Pop a small caption & photo in a corner while you are introducing each plant. That makes it easier to appreciate. 💚⚘🌿
@@FlowerHillFarm Just watch that video. That is exactly what I meant with my suggestion. Thanks for including that link. I guess I will have to get my coffee and catch up to your videos. Great job explaining each step so casually. 🌿⚘💚🍃
Wow, this is SOOOOOO different from what I received from David Austin US in 2019 - I got such small roses that NOW the Olivia Austin is looking about like your 2020 Olivia - in September of the next year. Looks like the US greenhouses may have gone through a bad year in 2019 - I got Gentle Hermione for my sister the same year - same very early young development. I got the Poet's Wife for my friend this year when her husband passed away - not as mature as yours. I live in Oneonta NY, so its not a regional problem. Hmmmmm I got bare roots this year to try to avoid getting immature plants... I'll just have to hope for the best.... Thanks for the video!!!
For a beginner dahlia grower, would you recommend leaving them as clumps and And planting them further apart, or separating them to increase possible number of plants and risk damaging some being inexperienced? I’m very frugal so I’d like to separate, but I’m afraid I’ll regret it. And btw, don’t you love when the mail carrier reads the box?!?
They look pretty! I wanted to order some David Austin roses do you know if I have to contact them first to order? I went to the website but I couldn’t see where to order some pls help thanks 😊
Hi, plants in the mail! How exciting! I don't know much about editing but I know you are a pro so am wondering if when you get tubers, or are planting seeds, if you could/would put up a picture of the flower you are talking about. It would help me be more familiar and see if I would like to grow them too. Thanks for all you do💕 even for those roses you could put a little side pick up of a blooming rose.
Hi Nancy. This is actually an older video. Editing does take hours but if have watched any of my newer videos with seed unboxings etc, I usually put the photos on.
THIS MAKES ME SO ANGRY! I ordered 8 potted roses and mine look nothing like that. My generous gardener roses came with both having very few leaves and they were yellow and brown. Desdamona came with four buds that were browned off so they fell off and two stems and half of one has turned black, and no leaves at all. And then I watch all these recent unboxings and see beautiful roses.
Austins' are amazing but maybe try Kordes next time!! You will be surprised! Especially for cut flowers!!! I got here my list of roses from Kordes: Gräfin Diana® Carmen Würth Madame Anisette® Cinderella® Blue River ® Herzogin Christiana® Gartenprinzessin Marie-José Märchenzauber® Rosengräfin Marie Henriette® Novalis® Laguna® + Kiss me Kate® (those two are climbers but I think you can use the flowers for bouquets) Check them out! Greetings from Greece! Love, Yannis

You are the cutest! I just started with DA roses this year, and love them. Wondered how these are doing now?
They're doing great- I've posted pics on my Instagram @flowerhillfarmny
How big are they now?

I like planting them in clumps. I find the plants are sturdier and have more stems. Just my experience!
@@FlowerHillFarm thanks! I've never grown them but going to try to get my hands on some!
