J'ai eu la Joie de voir en spectacle cette immense artiste à deux reprises & j'ai toujours autant d'admiration pour cette grande pointure à la voix de soprano exceptionnelle qui vibre à la première note !
I saw Joan Baez face to face, sitting next to my mother in 1986-7, it was the Brothers In Arms Tour. This what the tribes call "a real person" and I will never forget that night.
FABULOUS!! One of my all time favourite songs from one of my all time favourite singers. Here's to thirty more years of your singing. Much love from Manchester UK
My favorite era of Joan's voice--warmed by age and so, so colorful. Not yet in her alto phase (which came about 10 years later), her soprano at this time took on the most beautiful amber tone. What a voice.
I have enjoyed this lilting song and this amazing singer for more years than I care to remember. Try enjoying the music and leave ancient damned politics out of it - just for once!! If it wasn't for politics and religion the world would be a peaceful place!
I agree. At times, folk songs must be all about politics, but again, at times they should be enjoyed just for the artistry they display. I have loved Joan Baez for her artistry for so many years. I own two copies of her first recorded album. One in monaural, one in stereo. Both, in mint condition, are nearly priceless now, But nothing so priceless of course, as the woman herself.

Let's hope ! ;)
Une grande artiste d'une grande beauté à la voix d'or !
Joanie, I love you and your great and wonderful songs. Especially the Dylan song Farewell Angelina. A beautiful voice and a great piano!
Joan voice beautiful love her always
That voice , that voice . So suited to this haunting song
Her voice...the sky is trembling, I am trembling when hearing her voice...
Such a great song & a great singer performing it
Still a great song after all these years, performed by a great artist! Thanks Joan Baez (& Bob Dylan).
Thank you Juan baez & Nana Mouskourine ( BOB DYLAN )
This song is still relevant today!

Best folk singer ever i think
Beautiful and her singing. Tom Bishop
Todo bien , absolutamente...
Todo....!!!
Joan Báez....por siempre...alma y voz únicas
the rumble in her voice the only perfect articulation of the writer and the song. Time is a thief only if you listen with your eyes open.

Just a beautiful piece of art
A GREAT AMERICAN SINGER
I feel so bad that i was only born 17 years ago and i didn't manage to know about her or her music before
Consider yourself lucky, there is so much of her songs out there for you to discover :) Enough for a lifetime of delight.
@Mariam Bahaa.
Enjoy ALL the thought-provoking songs. And thanks to modern technology - and youtube - you will be able to enjoy SO much!

le Prix Nobel de la Paix.

Joan baez..la légende
A playful twist on court proceedings where death is on the line would be to have the death sentence sung by Baez.
Just a thought.
and now it's 50 years.

Somebody needed to turn down the keyboard in the mix. Not the keyboardist's fault, he or she had no control over that.
pour le FUN
