- My siblings and I try to make a Pavlova a dessert originating in NEW ZEALAND (Australians you can have Russell Crowe)! This is totally not a recipe for disaster.

"Gonna make a pavlova" makes scrambled eggs
Just a little advice, next time beat the eggs much longer and with a mixer, not by hand, that's what It was so liquidy :)
And don’t get any yolk in otherwise it will not work :)
What big daddy said. Egg whites will not whip up if you get any open there whatsoever. Even if you have a little grease in the bowl that you are whipping them in they won't whip up

You managed to look absolutely fantastic in that loud, 80s kinda shirt.
Pavlova is hard, especially if you try to whip it up by hand. You definitely need an electric mixer on it. Start with room temperature eggs, clean bowl, then you can actually whip them into stiff peaks in a couple of minutes. Then you have to be careful not to bump the air out of it later, e.g. folding it, and the annoying thing where you have to leave it in the oven whilst the pav and the oven cools down. Just what I've learned from making pavlova in Australia ;)
PS we don't want Russell Crowe, but I'll happily take Taiki- however you spell that director's name.

I am a chef. And watching you all try and make stiff peak meringue was almost painful. But, it was funny. Better luck with your next attempt at a Pavlova. Try using an electric mixer. And, gradually add the sugar, in small amounts over the course of whipping the egg whites. Or just look up how to make a French meringue. Also, do NOT get ANY yolk in your whites. Make sure your bowl is clean and dry before whipping your egg whites. Thanks for posting your awesome and hilarious videos.
