I think when this buggy came out, it's price was a but high, but now it seems to have flattened out. I think of all the nitro RTR buggies, this or the Kyosho MP10 has the highest upgrade potential. You can fairly easily turn this into just about a D815, and with more base parts changing/upgrading as time goes on, get all the way to the D819 or D8 WS. given how little the D8 really changed between the D812 and the D819, and with the bit of complaints about the D8WS's handling, I think this is right there for being the ultimate weekend warrior buggy. MP10 is a lot closer to the real deal design out of box, but has so many fundamental cost cuttings that it costs about the same to get the MP10 to kit spec as it does to get a Vorza 3.5 to D815 spec.
I have the old electric Vorza, similar to the current Vorza S, would love to see a 3.5 and 4.6 S version though. I have considered finding a D8 Hara chassis and converting everything over to nitro. Super solid chassis. Right next to my Hobao Hyper 8 it breaks the least.
solid review, have you tried changing the engines clutch shoes? I belive it comes with a 2 piece composite cutch, might want to swap it for a 3 shoe or even 4 shoe setup, that should wake it up a bit.
If you can find the 112mm towers and shocks, they transform the handling of that buggy in a very positive way, HPI changing the front and rear lengths to 108mm is nicer than the old Vorza’s 100mm shocks, but it seems they partially did that so they could use the same shock on the buggy and truggy. Great for the buggy, not so much for the truggy
Thanks, yeah I'm actually running the truggy shocks on mine because they were cheap (and the same). It's partly why I'm reluctant to get the truggy, they really should've had longer shocks and towers on it!
Thanks for the great informative video, do you know how this buggy compare to the hpi trophy 3.5 ? The price of this is higher but it seems that the trophy 3.5 has better components. What are your thoughts please ...
Well designed platform stands the test of time, especially when you have good parts support! Would like aftermarket parts suppliers to get back in the game on this platform as well.
Great Review of the car. Thanks for taking the time to put it through its paces!
Great product, and thanks for keeping the nitro flame alive! This buggy deserves all of the attention it can get, definitely my favorite nitro buggy.

I have an old D8S and she's suffering from major rust issues, but I think ill be able to buy one of these and swap the "S" parts across
Do you know how to make a roto start work ? I bought one but motor mount is in the wAy , I wanna do away with pull start
Have the Pulse 4.6 but no parts support anymore.
I'm highly debating this buggy or the kyosho mp9 you reviewed. Looking for a good beginner track car

Where can I find these shock towers and shocks? Cheers
@@bradlewis746 HB part number HB67210 for the tower, HPI part number HPI101116

Good night amigo, belíssimo buggy nitro 🏎🔥💥💨😍🥰💪🏼👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You should check out the Teckno buggie kit.
Subscribed for the nitro!!
Almost all the videos made are either the best in class or your favorite buggy. I’m still waiting for a negative review from you. Very curious.
Check out the HPI Bullet review
HPI Bullet, HPI Savage 4.6, Savage Flux was kinda mediocre, and that's just HPI's.... Kraton 4S, Outcast 4S, do I need to go on?
👍
It's just a plastic Hot Bodies D8
