Grappling is an insane way to disrupt spellcasters too, dc 10+grapplers cmb+spell level. This is a lesser known one because you can't really grapple without the grabber ability. Ulbrig gets it in griffon form and he's fantastic at it, I've had him grapple balors and shut off their death explosion because they can't make the check
@@zuloph yeah I mention that at #10 but it's in no specific order. Nowadays animal companions that have grab, lizard shape, shambling mound and other things that have grab make it really easy to disrupt. Too bad no silence or counterspell in the game though.
Good video. Would have been better if you organized this with the most reliable methods being at the top of the list. Also, the benchmark is always "bringing the caster's hit points to zero," so only things that are situationally somehow better than killing the casters are considered good.
@@Alorand fair points! Seems grapple is one of the better ideas which requires something as easy as bear, smilodon or hippo companion (lizard too?). Ofc killing is better but sometimes u don't have enough damage to do so in a 1st turn or there are multiple casters.
Oh after I play PoP shaman class and abuse her plants spells, I found that all those plants spells can disrupt enemies spell caster, I mean when I cast plant spells on the whole battle field (with selective meta of course), I saw a lot of times enemies failed their concentration checks.
Don't disrupt me when I'm concentrating! 🧙♂
Didn't know grapple was such a cool way to disrupt casters. Time to finally take Ulbrig for a walk!
Thank you for all the wotr content!
Death remains the best means of disrupting casters

Me: So grab em, put yer tongue in there mouth and they will be useless
Ulbrig: war chief are you sure this is the best way to silence a caster
@@lefoolish1989 🤣
