F*@K the Media...I Went to LIBYA!

  • Travel to Libya in 2024 and you'll land in Tripoli city, the Libyan capital which for years was mired in civil war. But in this Libya travel vlog, you'll find that in 2024 it is safe to take a trip and be a tourist in Libya. The situation can change quickly, so please don't rely solely on this video to when making your decision.
Please contact my awesome Libyan travel guide Badran to help plan your trip safely. (DM me on IG @philsguide for his contact information).
With that said, I absolutely LOVED the Libyan people, Libyan food and Libyan history and tourism in Libya should be on the rise. There's SO much history in Tripoli for tourists. It was formerly known as "Tripolitania" for the three ancient Mediterranean coastal cities: Oea, Sabratha and Leptis Magna.
In this video series I will cover each separately. "Oea" is modern day Tripoli and has changed hands between so many over the years - from the Phoenicians to the Greeks to the Romans, to the Arabs to the Ottomans to the Italians. Even the French and British occupied parts of Tripoli at one point.
But Libya is best known for Colonel Muammar Gaddafi a Libyan revolutionary, politician and political theorist who ruled Libya from 1969 until his assassination by rebel forces in 2011. He first served as Revolutionary Chairman of the Libyan Arab Republic from 1969 to 1977 and then as the Brotherly Leader of the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya from 1977 to 2011. Initially ideologically committed to Arab nationalism and Arab socialism, Gaddafi later ruled according to his own Third International Theory.
Gaddafi was decorated with various awards and praised for his anti-imperialist stance, support for Arab-and then African-unity, as well as for significant development to the country following the discovery of oil reserves. But many Libyans strongly opposed Gaddafi's social and economic reforms; he was posthumously accused of various human rights violations. He was condemned by many as a dictator whose authoritarian administration systematically violated human rights and financed global terrorism in the region and abroad.

Thank you. Having grown up in Tripoli from the age of 3 until 1960 at the age of 17, it is hugely encouraging to see the renovated streets of the Old City, and the positive attitudes of the people after all the traumas that Libyans have experienced. I have never been back since 1960, but this gives me encouragement to investigate going back.

I am a Libyan citizen and I love my country despite all the calamities and disasters that have occurred since 2011 due to the barbaric interference of NATO in Libya's internal affairs and the subsequent control of armed criminal groups whose loyalty is to other countries and the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group supported by Britain, Qatar and Turkey. We Libyans are a kind, brave and educated people at the same time, and we are very patient with life's difficulties and always try to find solutions to all our internal problems Economic, political and even social, and we are not much different from the rest of the peoples of the Mediterranean, and we respect all the peoples of the countries of the world who love us and respect us, except for that criminal racist Zionist entity that has been occupying the State of Palestine for 76 years, we are a good people and maintain their social traditions and we love drinking coffee, tea and natural fruit juices that we prepare in our homes ourselves and eating vegetables and fruits, barley bread and fish meat. And lamb, beef and camel meat and our food is very delicious and we honor guests and love life and live in peace and give guests your right to hospitality and generosity because it is one of our genetic traits father from grandfather for more than 1000 years and we protect our guests ourselves and by law.

We love cats, birds and horses very much and we raise them sometimes in our farms and for dogs we use them to graze sheep and cows and guards only, Muslims are forbidden to raise dogs inside homes because they are chaotic and transmit very dangerous diseases and more aggressive than cats and birds as they bring bad luck and negative energy to homes and for this they raise them in places designated for them outside homes or in farms in order to graze sheep and cows and guards only.

Libya needs peace and safety and very free and fair presidential elections under the supervision of the United Nations in order to return better than before, currently it can be said that the safety rate in Libya is 75% and the improvement seems very clear even with the spread of weapons in the hands of the people and security sometimes looks like the state of Chicago or Brooklyn in the Americas and we seek to reach an improvement in the percentage of security by 100% during the end of this year and next year, There are currently projects in Libya for construction, economic development, trade with European and other countries, and better infrastructure development. The Libyan people are tired of the state of misery, the deliberate forced displacement of several Libyan regions and even to several other countries, and the large number of internal wars that are always behind several countries such as Turkey, Qatar, the Emirates, Britain, and some other countries that support the armed militias and the Muslim Brotherhood The extremist terrorist for its own interests and very narrow and it is time for peace, development and building the Libyan state again and maintaining its existence among the nations of the planet as we received it from our ancestors more than 1000 years ago, Libya is a very historic and ancient country that deserves the best.

Did you just say United Nations?💀. We DON‘T need the USA or the UN, who brought us terror, civil wars, deaths, and destruction. They are the ones who supplied weapons to terrorists, who literally BOMBED us. You mentioned Turkey and Qatar but not the USA, which is behind every war in the Middle East and other muslim countries. And now you want help from them? The UN, USA, and NATO only brought misery to the Middle East and other Muslim countries.

You see, in Libya, we have a rule that says, “Respectful, respectful.” We welcome peaceful visitors of any nationality. We reject America’s biased policies in the Middle East, but this never makes us rude to the foreign guests of our country. We welcome them and respect them.
