Flippin eck what a grim place. But fascinating.
I never realised that the SAS quelled the riot up there. Amazing that the prison officer got away.
Some gruesome exhibits too!!

Hi Dave ,
Yea it's grim alright and I don't think I'd have liked to a been up on the roof for any length of time .
As you walk round it certainly makes you think it's not somewhere you would want to stay.
On our visit we bought the book that Jackie Stewart wrote which luckily we got signed and that gave a different take on what happened.
It's well worth a visit in your new van 😁
