This is SO helpful to me! It answered questions I didn't even know I had, leading to more understanding of what I've been doing wrong and, more importantly, how to fix that in my attempts. I especially liked the part about having a sketch to reference. Thank you, Kristin!
Wow the ease you handle your brush with, like it is dancing on the paper wow 🤗 Thank you for this very helpful tutorial from a still struggling beginner 😉🙏
I'm new to your channel. Love your techniques, method and style. I think your way of teaching is pure genius. I went to art school for 18 months and I changed direction for my life. I never liked watercolor.....I hated it. I always thought it was beautiful but painting with water was so so frustrating. Anyway in January it was my challenge to learn watercolor. I'm doing much better and I'm learning on my own and watching TH-cam. I found you and so far you are the best teacher. I can relate to your teaching methods. Thank you so much. I will be trying to watch every video as time permits🎨
Hello, I'm new to your channel and I so love every video you shared. Thank you so much for giving me hope. I really thought I wouldn't be able to paint a single flower nicely in my life. I've been painting for two years now and every time I try painting flowers, the really suck. Now I'm painting flowers for the first time with a smile. Hehehe. Thank you.. thank you ❤️❤️❤️☺️
Kristin, I must say that you absolutely helped me with flowers in this video. I believe that the way you explained what you were doing, why you were doing it and how important it was to know the direction to go (therefore giving you the where). This is the first video of yours that I’ve viewed and it certainly won’t be the last! I’m subscribed and looking forward to absorbing knowledge from you. I’ve been playing and painting with watercolors for about six years, watching tutorials and teaching myself the sometimes difficult art of watercolor painting. Considering I have a couple of physical limitations, I’m progressing steadily but I have so much more to learn. Rheumatoid Arthritis has tried to immobilize my fingers but I’ve learned to adapt and push on. I’m having too much fun to stop now. Lol I do love your style of painting and your drawing is divine - light and delicate in this tutorial. Thanks so much for sharing this with your videos. 🫶🏻✌️
If you don't mind, I love trees as well and until now, I haven't been able to understand how to paint a tree despite watching a hundred videos for two years. If you have a step by step process that is very easy to understand, please, please teach us how . Thank you 🤗❤️🙏😊🌹🙏🤗❤️
What a great tip Kristin. I would never have thought of this. Drawing cones will be so helpful in the future!!! And your composition at the end is beautiful!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! 😊
This is the first time anyone has made sense of how to draw flowers. I thought I had it perfect until you drew the real time flowers. I do not see how you used cones with that shape of petals. My flowers improved immediately, except for the last flowers where I tried to do the shape you painted. Please show how you "cone" the last free hand painting like you did all the other flowers. Simply genuis technique and genuis video. Thank you. I am just feeling so frustrated because I want to improve all my flowers 😊.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! OH MY GOODNESS! I Judy subscribed to your channel. You've made flower painting so easy 4 me. I'm letting the other painters go. I trust your skill so much that i know i don't need the others - ❤❤❤
I just love the way you explain things! You are a great teacher! My faves are the real time videos. So relaxing and I'm a visual learner so I learn so much by watching the actual process. Thank you for sharing your talent here! Oh, also one of my daughters says she went to high school with you! 😄 Keep painting girl! We can never paint enough flowers!!!
I agree, I am a visual learner too, so the real time drawing videos are the most helpful. Especially keeping the sketch reference adjacent to the painting. Thank you!
Hi I’m a new subscriber 🫶🏼 Just watching you paint is so therapeutic but I’m so excited to start for myself. Thank you for all your content. It’s really inspiring for those of us seeking a creative outlet
That was awesome, thank you for sharing your time and talent. Your instructions are so clear and simple to follow. You have talent for not only painting but teaching as well.
You are a superb teacher and artist. I love that you explain things in a logical way. My painting is intuitive, but it’s got to have rhyme and reason to make sense. You are teaching me how! Thank you so very much.
Hi Kristin. I have just discovered you and I love your work and your teaching skills. I have a question about the ceramic palette and how do I keep the paints in good shape and covered? I don’t know what’s the best palette for a beginner Thank you
This is super helpful, thank you! Do you have any tips for drawing particularly ornate flowers like irises and orchids? It’s hard for me to visualize them as a cone.
Great suggestion! I actually have a second round of 30 days of watercolor flowers coming up that have both Irises and orchids. Hopefully that will help!
Sorry I didn't include that in the description Paint colors in my palette: Hookers green light emerald viridian cad yellow hue lemon yellow hue cad red deep turquoise Opera rose

Thank you, this is really interesting. X
I've used circles/ ovals to help with the direction of flowers, but this is a great add-on to that technique. Thank you for sharing ❤
