My mom and i just did this EXACT route 2 days ago. We drove up from Cape Cod, MA where we reside now. As we used to live in Lee, MA and we stopped in first as the Yankee Candle store in Deerfield, MA. Then went on too drive through the Mohawk Trail that hairpin turn is something i'll never forget but so beautiful at the same time. Their is still so much untouched beauty in Massachusetts that people are unaware of it's incredible. We then came through Pittsfield, Lenox, and finally Lee, MA and saw our old home which was nice. It was quite a beautiful day for a long driving trip.
Just went up to North Adams with my father and it was amazingly beautiful during the fall, I loved it, I really wish I could take that drive every day.
That brick building on the RHS at 2:44-looks like a brownstone from Boston-must have been a rich man's house, 100 years ago.Is the Charlemont Inn open again?
@Bryant5493 Thanks! I wish I would've had a little more time to film up there but so it goes. You can imagine how beautiful that road must be when the leaves are at peak color.
@Theresayoungify Thanks. I know they were hit hard with flooding there. Here's hoping that they can get the road fixed and open by the time peak leaves come. If I ever find myself up that way in the fall I will most certainly film that route again.
@bokkey45 I'm going to say you're right on that. I believe it was signed as such in the 1920s but the road does date back to the 19th century. My mistake.
Nice road, beautiful landscapes, great journey! Good detail that of the slow-mo pieces, they make a good change of phase and make the video more interesting. How long are your usual road journeys? I mean, how many hours do you spend when shooting this videos? I usually ride on my motorcycle and I can go on for hours (even 12 hours!) and never get tired of enjoying a good road! Take care and thanks for sharing.

i thought the mohawk trail dated back to the mid 1800s (one of america's first highways)
such memories
@Freewayjim Thanks...I was sort of pressed for time so i picked a road I knew was going to be scenic.
@bsdpowa Thanks! Maine is abbreviated ME. MA is Massachusetts.

@acidnaught74 My road journeys are usually a couple of hours long. But I am starting to branch out a little bit. Thanks for watching!
@VaFreeways haha i no my stuff!
@340duhcota Wow! That is something. That must've been a horrific accident. I guess it was always a restaurant?
The drive is at too fast a speed to appreicate the thousands of gorgeous spots on the way. Also, just plain speeding.
@340duhcota Thanks... do you mean play the video at regular speed?
