Killer cover! Check out anything that Dino sings on - that dude just oozes talent. There's a cover of "Jane" with him & Mike Portnoy, a cover of Stormbringer, and Immigrant Song that are all collabs like this.. He did the vocals for Michael Romeo's last solo album (Divide & Conquer" is a great tune) and he has some solo stuff - Jelusick, and a band called Animal Drive

Liked your comments. This is an amazing cover. As far as the first part - "Foreplay" was the intro to the entire album followed immediately by the song "Long Time". From back in the 70's when albums were many times more than just a bunch of songs. They have always been played together as they appeared on the album.

I first came across this via the vocalist, Dino Jelusic (which is the correct spelling - everyone else, including him, is wrong to add the 'k'!). He is pure 70s rock, but for the modern era - the closest sound to Dio I have heard in a long time, but even closer to David Coverdale...which is probably why he has been singing with Whitesnake recently!
Anyway, back to the analysis - you know what your problem is? You're too young! That intro was early Genesis / Uriah Heep...and I also could have done without it! Still, really pleased you took a look at this one - one of my favourite covers of its type and era!

I haven’t been accused of being too young in quite a while. That’s rather refreshing 😅 Glad you enjoyed it!

A Boston classic ,the keyboard intro, guitars ,bass and song was written, played by one person ,Tom Scholz ,Joel, from, among others Whitesnake ,is a magician with the two handed playing, and a real top class guitarist,Mr.Pourtnoy, one of my favourite drummers ,and musicians ,and the singer, you need to check out his channel ,great rock vocalist, all top level players ,and a classic song from an iconic band [person] cheers for your reaction.

Welcome to the "whammy Clavinet" skills of Lachey Doley! (first name pronounced Lock-ee) He's a great Hammond player, too. th-cam.com/video/h6041UiUHvk/w-d-xo.html

Thank you very much! I really enjoy that with a lot of smile on my face. So it was a cover of Boston with the staring Joel Hoekstra from Whitesnake :) I think there is a version without the "Foreplay", but I was to lazy to find it. Great song!
Now when you got to know a new less famous singer you might just continue with a similar one: This is a cover (without a long foreplay) by Journey "Separate Ways" and another great female badass singer: Dariaa Zaritskaya

I’m embarrassed for you that at your age you’ve never heard of “Long Time”. What were you listening back then, Cyndi Lauper and Madonna?

I think the lead guitar player wrote most of Boston's songs.

Just spent a bit going through your reaction list and noticed you haven't touched Queensryche yet. Musically, I think you'll like them with their original lineup. Their drummer, Scott Rockenfield, was known as the 'Man in Chains' because of his kit (and his skill). Their singer, Geoff Tate, was/is a vocal god in the 80's and 90's. Honestly, the overall talent in the band was a bit nutty. Lol. Anyway, I'd suggest 'Take Hold of the Flame, Live in Tokyo 1984' for a first listen. If you're impressed by that then it'll be interesting to see how you feel about how they evolved over the next decade.

@@SteveOGRock Well brother I took note in a reply you mentioned you having small children. My friend I’ve been down that road. An expensive road. I have great admiration for you my friend. A real Dad working two jobs and taking care of your family. I’m not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but it just my wife Sherry and I plus the dogs. Which can be more needy than children sometimes. At 68 years old and still being able do what I love at a high level I feel that I am blessed. You and your wife and children and oh yeah Mom👵 too don’t need to know where it comes from. Lol Like it or not Steve you have become my Good deed for the next how ever long I’m still standing. I hope I’m not making you feel at uneasy. I believe that we as humans should help each other in these time. I able to do that in small scale so I do it. Trust me I have been helped out a lot in my early life years. I believe in paying it forward. I hope you and I can still be Brothers of Music.

I’m not sure if I ever mentioned it or not,but I’ve been playing the drums for the last 60 years. Been making my living playing for the last 43 years. I say this because I know from experience the way my own soul is touched. I know you are the real deal not like so many of the phonies out there. The band and I will be in London this summer and I’ll drink six pints for you. Cheers! 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🤘
